AMC's Halloween Fest sucks now!

AMC has changed, a few years ago I think someone bought them out, 'cause now they play crap, I rarely see a classic film, and they used to have the best Halloween movies all month, they'd have a week for all of the Universal monsters, then a week for the newer types like Jason and Freddy, but now they only play the same cheap crap over and over, stuff like Halloween 4 and 5, Frankenstein vs. the space lizard, or some crap like that where frankenstein's a cute little robot as they described it, and all kinds of garbage. I have to buy all those dvd of the Universal classics so I don't miss out every year, I used to just watch AMC but not anymore.

Yeah, it's all crap I have on DVD. It used to be real old, obscure, and hard to find stuff. Now it's pretty lame.

I remember back in the day, I could sit down in front of the TV and put AMC on on the week of Halloween and see all kinds of great Hammer and Universal monster movies. I really wish they didn't reformat it. Monster Fest hasn't been good in years.

Yeah that was just about the worst thing ever. I wouldnt call CINO "Movie" or "Classic," and I regret the fact that I have to call it "American."

I forgot they play Catwoman on there. UGH! I still haven't seen that movie and will not ever see it, my Sis was watching it once and I walked through the room and saw some of it, I almost barfed.

I miss the Universal horror movie week on AMC, I looked forward to The Bride of Frankenstein most of all.

I just need to get them on dvd and have my own Monster Fest.

A few years ago they played Army of Darkness and Bram Stoker's Dracula which is always fun but yeah I feel you guys. Scream is ok but they never play the first one.

I've never seen Catwoman on AMC.

But I think thier halloween thing is just fine....in the past couple days I watched The Frighteners, Hellraiser, Halloween, Psycho and Mary Shelley's Frankenstien....that's just fine with me.

Their original series Mad Men makes a real effort to gain respectability back. I don't know if they've been showing ads during their Halloween Fest but the first season starts repeating Nov.1. The writer/executive producer of The Sopranos created it, check their website. One of my favourite dramas, its about ad executives in 1960 and the secrets they hide.

Yeah I saw that the other day they showed that horrible POS Catwoman. I have to admit...I did watch it (on HBO a year or so ago) because my room mate said it wasnt so bad (even though he knows I hate Halle Berry). It was then I knew that my best friend is a complete idiot (because it sucked more than I thought possible).

That's why I have my own 'Fest nowadays. This year, it'll be John Carpenter's Halloween, When a Stranger Calls '79, and Black Christmas '73. Don't know what else I'll watch yet.
