honestly if i was there in typical tourist garb( bad shirt,shorts etc) i would kinda understand, but it was diesel jeans and a jack jones t-shirt.

Even Victoria's Secret salespeople don't have those kinds of physical requirements.

And I've never stepped foot into an A&F store. Talk about overpriced, pretentious, and racist.

Unfortunately my roommate (also Asian) still shops there. Their bags are really nice, which is why I hesitate to throw them away even though I dislike the store.

I've kept them for stowing recycling in.

As for American Apparel, their clothing is butt-ugly, so I guess they're trying to make themselves look somewhat attractive for their customers. I don't shop there either, but my bf will only wear AA boxer briefs. After shopping online for them as a Christmas presents last year, I kinda get why. All of the models have his body type.

and an update...apparently AA is now making employees sign what's called an "At Will Employment Confidentiality Agreement" which states you can't say anything to the press, blogs, or any other media about AA, Dov Charney and you must inform the company if you are approached...you (as an AA employee) can not record or photograph Dov Charney unless he provides express written permission and you are subject to a $1 Million dollar fine if any of those terms are violated
