For anyone who has the movie or knows it intemently, during the end credits, what songs are being played?

thanks

"Something in the Air" - David Bowie
"Who Feelin' It" - Tom Tom Club
"Watching Me Fall" - The Cure
"Trouble" - Daniel Ash

Those are the songs played in that order

After a few more views of this movie Iv come to the conclusion Bateman is insane. Shocking!

Insane because I dont think he killed one person, he imagined it.

So did he or did he not?

i think he killed everyone, just not in the manor he thinks he did

I'm still unsure of what was hallucinated and what wasn't. I'd have no trouble accepting it was all real... if it weren't for the ATM. "Please feed me a kitten". Since that obviously wasn't real, who knows what else wasn't. But it couldn't have all been fake, because then the whole movie is basically a hallucination. It's crazy.

We can never know for sure, unless Ellis has said so. Otherwise, it's near impossible to tell.

I think he may have killed someone, but everything else is a hallucination, a manifestation of his mind based on his mental state. Like maybe that first homeless person. But I don't think he killed Paul Allen, and that whole police shootout with the explosion didn't happen.

He's my hero, which is bad because he's a murderer but more importantly, a social looser :(

For some reason I believe that Patrick did commit all of those crimes only to get away because A) Of his high society status and everyone, aside from Jean or Kimball, around him thinks he's a joker or B) is protected by Illuminati like group, and like I said before, because of his high society status. I do like how that they don't say if he even did do those murders which makes more theory's, like mine, about the ending come out. Only Ellis knows the true ending and he won't tell us what it is.

American Psycho is ssssssooooo debateable. Did he kill all those ppl, or didnt he?....that's what makes it great. All i care about is if he really had that threesome with Sabrina and co.. :D

Heres why I dont think it any of it was real

1) The cop has him placed with friends during Paul's death.
2) "feed me stray kitten"
3) police shootout
4) Paul's apartment being empty. With everything in it it would have been a crime scene not open for renting

Another strange fact is him not killing is secretary with the nail gun. Why?

I have more just cant think right now.

Bret Easton Ellis has never clarified whether or not Patrick actually killed those people, because he said that he likes that the ending is open for either interpretation.

I know this is a bit random but i thought this would be the best place to post this as this board seems to be filled with many serious minded deep thinkers who come up with great answers. So for the ppl who have seen this movie.. ive got to know.. what the hell was the ending all about?? ive seen this movie numerous times yet im left scratching my head as to wtf?? i get lost at the point where Patrick Batman (hehe) returns to Paul Allens house and finds the place clean and rid of bodies.... and when he confesses to his lawyer that he killed all those ppl and Paul Allen as well the lawyer tells him that it isnt possible since he just had lunch with Paul Allen just a few days ago in London... Now I havent read the book (which i probably should) but heres my assumption of what happened.. the bodies and apt were cleaned up and disposed of because:

A- The realtors/owners did not want to draw that kind of negative attention to their property and or did not want the world to see that that kind of horror existed in their rich "yuppie" society life..

B- The lawyer THOUGHT he had lunch with Paul Allen since those high society yuppie types are so self consumed in their own little worlds they all look alike to eachother...

C- None of it ever happened and in his psychotic mind he hallucinated the whole thing... which i doubt since American Psycho2 is based on one of Patricks female survivors who becomes a Psycho herself lol

So what do you think actually happened?

i go with B, it's a theme that pops up throughout the movie, and it fits with the intent of this being a black comedy, satirical look at the yuppie culture in the 80's

There is no real answer. The director herself stated that she wanted the audience to fill in the blanks themselves.

At first I though Phyco was just an embarrassing typo, but then you used that spelling several times throughout the post, which even more embarrassingly implies that you think it's actually spelled that way.

Seriously though, this is one of my all time favorite movies. I love it, watch it at least twice a week.

I think that Bateman didnt kill anyone. sure, he is still a psycho, but he never actually commets any of these killings.
