I think it would be okay to take pics outside of the theater but once inside I wouldn't pull my cam phone out. I paid too damn much to have it taken away and "lost".

I'd dare some theater person to take my phone...I have never heard of that. I'm not giving up my phone though if they ask. That's f-ing crazy.
