Okay, as many of you are aware, last month I told you that I would be taking some time off. And as many of you also know, that certainly didn't seem to go into fruition. Why? Because I realized that maybe I wasn't "addicted" to the Hype, maybe it is because I consider most of you to be rational, intelligent posters who offer more than just an escape from the real world. You offer great debates, and you really are a fun bunch.

That being said, I am going on a hiatus tomorrow. Because starting Wednesday, I will begin an exciting job (one which I may reveal in November :cwink:) which I simply cannot turn down. Since I'm still in school, my last year of undergrad work, I also have to complete 15 credit hours. Last semester, I juggled an internship with a certain powerful Senator who may or may not be from New York with 16 credits and nearly died... so I can only imagine the type of impact a full time job will have on my life, in addition to classes.

I wanted to thank you all for a lively debate, especially in recent weeks. And for those of you whom I had personal contact with, thank you as well. I'm really, really thankful for what has happened here, but I can't allow any distractions to hold me back in the coming weeks. This job will only last until November :-)cwink: again), and I'll be free until at least January :-)cwink: a third time). I may pop in sporadically depending on certain political developments, too, so keep your eyes open.

Thanks again, and I'll see you around.

Good luck Jman. You are one of my favorite posters here. I will miss our banter until you return. Good luck with what ever it is you are going to do, Superhero is it? What ever.

Good luck and read the FairTax Book, it'll do you more better, than harm. :cwink:

Well damn this sucks. Even though you and I didn't agree on everything I've grown to like you and respect your opinion.

I wish you good luck with the new job but I do hope you have withdrawals from the Hype that make you come back sooner than November. :oldrazz: :cwink: :hehe:

Oh bih is somebody working for the camapaign can you hooka brother up with a job or autograph???

But for real good luck bro hope you enjoy it

Good luck jman, the Hype will not be the same without your presence.

The quality of discussion has just taken a major hit.

^ Agreed.

A void will open here. Hurry back soon to fill it.

Congratulations, Jman, and best of luck with the new opportunities. We'll see you again in a few months!

Sounds like great news, jman. Good luck, and keep us posted! :woot:

Good luck and keep us informed.

Best of luck Jman! And congratulations! :yay:

Damn! Always enjoyed our debates/talks. Hope everything works out for you, sir. :woot:

Damn, this really sucks jman. I hope the best for you.

Well... it sucks for the forum, perhaps...

also, to answer one point Excel raised:

Am I working on a campaign? Yes.

Am I working on Obama's campaign? No.

Keep guessing, and thanks for the kind words

Man we dunno why dont you just spill the beans so we know where to look for our boy?

Mark Warner's campaign! Hopefully. One of the few Democrats I think I'd ever vote for.

Cheers, jman. :)

Okay, so the job is going very well, two days in.

I am popping in from time to time, but the semester is hardly in "high gear" yet. I probably jumped the gun on declaring a "hiatus" this week, but next week things really start to take off. First field event is this weekend, so I am looking forward to that. I assume that is when things are going to be tricky since I'll be spending two days away from any school work.

As for that campaign I'm working for, I won't tell you outright just yet.

But I think this link speaks for itself.

I knew that's who it was! I just knew it! That's great man! :yay:
