Action-Adventure Ana de Armas to lead John Wick spin-off 'Ballerina'

This honestly looks better than I thought it would based on the early buzz. I'm not expecting this to be on the same level as the JW films but neither were Atomic Blonde or Nobody and I still really enjoyed those.

Ana De Armas looks great in this type of role, and I've been wanting to see her lead her own action film since seeing what she should could do action wise in No Time to Die and The Gray Man.

The bigger scope is nice too.

Looks excellent!! The visuals and action feel ripped right from the Wick films. And Ana de armas is kicking all kinds of ass here. I can't wait!

Trailer looks good, the visuals are super neat.
Action we will have to see, the little bit we saw was good.
Im vibing with this a lot.

Looks solid, there was a lot less crazy action in the trailer than I expected.

I had no idea this was on the cards. I usually like main franchise entries over spinoffs but in this case JW has had a (great) long run where I can wait for anything further, and for now this looks like a great way to keep it fresh while keeping JW in people's minds. I'm sure Ana will do great with this, good trailer.

Len Wiseman does not inspire confidence... Cautiously optimistic.

I mean, you can kinda tell in the trailer which is Wiseman and which is the Stahleski reshoots.

“After they murdered my father, they killed the cat and,THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW!

Doesn't look a patch on the actual JW films but still looks entertaining in its own right.

Good to hear. I figured even without the reshoots it still would have fared better at the box office than their recent string of flops just by being associated with John Wick but glad it seems to have been salvaged.

Could be worth a watch at least once. Probably wait to see how it looks with newer trailers.

Didn't Lin Wiseman also direct that Roadhouse remake that got terrible reviews? Not surprised he **** the bed on this. He seems to have lost it.

That one was Doug Liman. Len Wiseman is Total Recall 2012 guy in my head.

I’m surprised Len Wiseman even got this job. The last movie he directed was Total Recall all the way back in 2012 which wasn’t exactly well received. Before that was Live Free or Die Hard in 2007 which also wasn’t received well. Apparently he directs TV pilots every now and then so it’s surprising that he was entrusted with the next instalment in the John Wick franchise.

Live Free or Die Hard made them a lot of money (biggest of the franchise non-inflation) but yeah, that was almost 20 years ago.

The Len Wiseman of 20 years ago I could see getting the gig. But then Kate Beckinsale would’ve been the Ballerina.

I guess if this is a big hit, his name is still listed as director so his career will at least get him out of episodic TV jail.

Live Free or Die Hard is a preeeettay preeeettay good movie in my book! I was just cheking Len Wiseman's filmography and that's the only bright spot. Not surprised now.
