Action-Adventure Ana de Armas to lead John Wick spin-off 'Ballerina'

I only watched the trailer for the first time today. The ridiculous full title, and the trailer including every cameo was incredibly off-putting. It looked alright, and then it dawned on me: Man this would have been awesome with an actual ballerina fighting, considering the ridiculous feats they could perform. I think back to Summer Glau in Serenity, who could seemingly kick you in the head from around a corner. In comparison, this film looks pretty standard. Maybe these reshoots have done something more interesting with the action.

Also... revenge for a dead father? Should have been a cat, or a parrot.

Ballerina: Fly away my friend! Before they get you!

Parrot: *ek* Fly away my friend! Before they

BANG

Cut to: Ballerina is grief stricken.

Got to love how "From the World of John Wick" seems to the be actual title now.

"I only cried with the first man. The other 105, I was fine with." I think I am in love.

Everything they show of this just looks better and better each time. Just hope the story is strong enough to make the action worthwhile but then jw was never really about the story after the first. Its just fun to be in that world again though. Cant wait.

I'm very cautious about this franchise continuing; I love the four John Wick films. Each of them is awesome.

That said, I'm a big fan of good things ending.

The Continental show wasn't good. And now we have this film and the Cain film in the works.

Diluting a strong brand with too many spin-offs, each risking quality degradation, is a big fear of mine.

I was not happy when Len Wiseman was announced as directing this (the only film of his I loved was Live Free or Die Hard [Unrated]). But I'm cautiously optimistic after hearing Chad pretty much reshot and redid most of the film.

Idk if I’m all that up for this one, but the use of Tiny Dancer in the trailer got me good.
