Action-Adventure Ana de Armas to lead John Wick spin-off 'Ballerina'

Nice, got a lot of JW3 vibes from the posters and trailers so its nice that they will probably show a bit of JW3 in the movie to show the cross over with Eve training there at the same time. Good to make it clear and obvious as well.

Wonderful, thanks for making me feel bad about this movie.

How do they bypass the sanctions? Also, the ruble is worth nothing.

Looks like its not afraid to have a little fun with its violence as well, I dig it.

I'm not expecting this to beat the likes of JW4 or JW3 my personal fave but I really hope this is decent enough to earn a place in the series, spin offs can be tricky but I am rooting for my girl Ana on this one.

Well, first reactions are out... looks like it's good!!
This morning, a peculiar email was sent out to press with embargo information concerning “Ballerina.” Highly unusual wording was used, and it’s quite honestly the first time I’ve seen such an embargo description.

The message reads, that “spoiler-free enthusiasm” on social media is allowed starting on May 22 and that “critical social sentiment & formal reviews are embargoed until” June 4.

Short: nothing but praise is allowed to be posted until June 4.

What actually happens if someone goes against one of these embargos? Say, someone was to post a negative review of Ballerina before 4th June? Do they just get taken off the 'friend' list and lose out on future 'insider info'?

That's messed up. This and the Russia release, what a way to sour something that I've been cautiously looking forward to.
