I'm literally in shock at how awesome this looks...Rogen is already freakin hilarious....but badass? who knew!! :)

Sad to see that Gondry and Sony aren't taking the material seriously. Tim Burton turned comedian Michael Keaton into the ultimate badass, Seth Rogen is just his usual self.

The Green Hornet should not just be a throw away Apatow film, Gondry sacrificed his creative talent for Sony's paycheck.

Sorry I'm not buying it. Rogen's schtick doesn't work here. He's acting like his usual self in some sort of superhero parody. RDJ was able to do the goofy comedy stuff in Iron Man as Tony Stark but he made it work at least. Rogen as the Green Hornet it's not working. It just looks goofy and ridiculous.

Kato looks like John Cho. Maybe they should've gotten him.

The trailer early on seemed to re-use shots.

Also, that ridiculous traffic light gag, it was in that ****ing Rowan Atkinson movie JOHNNY ENGLISH! THEY STOLE THAT EXACT SAME GAG FROM A ****ING SPY BOND MOVIE RIFF!

I mean that's just how pathetic this movie is, it's stealing things from a ****** British spy movie.

Rogen could have worked for the role. Comedians are perfect for superhero movies if they know what they are doing. Michael Keaton and Danny DeVito are good examples. This is obviously not the case with The Green Hornet.

I'll give it a chance. I love the "big action shot" of Hornet and Kato firing the car's guns.

The thing is it's still Rogen doing his usual Rogen schtick, he's just dialed it down some.

You really needed someone like a prime Harrison Ford or even Mark Valley to play the character. The character can be humorous and all, but I mean, this just doesn't work.

Looks alot better than what i was expecting, consider me interested.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this after three viewings.

There's a cool 80s style buddy cop vibe, but at the same time, the GH seems almost incompetent incomparison to Kato rather than Kato just being way more skilled.

Firing the open doors looked amazing.

Looks like crap. Yet another potentially good franchise down the drain because nobody gave a damn.

Why the retro Hornet look?
Why is Kato, in the 21st Century still the Oriental Houseboy?
Why is Seth Rogen playing the same character he always plays and making the Green Hornet a bumbling idiot?
Why can these guys never respect the source material? Improve on it, rather than crap on it?

It looks fun, slick, witty. Does it need to be Dark Knight-ified? No. I'd bet the trailer is just capitalizing on what the audience expects of Rogen, which still isn't bad. It'll probably be more serious than we expect. But dang, that fighting looks goooood.

hit the nail on the head.

I don't see what's so slick and witty about it. It looks like a super hero comedy/parody with Seth Rogen, not really Green Hornet.

It has always been that way. Think back to the `60s TV series. Bruce Lee was the real star.

To be fair, all we've seen is the action and comedy. Christoph Waltz and Tom Wilkinson are barely in the trailer. There's still 6 months before the release. Plenty of time to slowly release the more "serious" scenes. I mean, heck, even Cameron Diaz only gets one scene in the trailer. So, if there's a love story we haven't seen a single frame.

Sorry this not the Green Hornet! Brit in the comics and show was more intelligent and devious than this. It's another Catwoman, yes I went there...

The worst thing about GH is also the best thing. Because he was never an iconic or particularly popular character, he was never as cool as a Spider-Man or a Batman, but it also means he doesn´t have a legion of hardcore fanboys overanalysing every aspect of it, so he might be the right character for a lighter, more loosen take.

I loved getting up super early when I was a little kid to watch the show on TNT or whatever channel it was that aired it. I wasn't sure what Seth's take would be, but it actually feels like a breath of fresh air. Yeah, there looks to be a lot of stupid humor, but Seth has been in a lot of movies like that which have brought a lot of heart to the table as well, for some of which he also shares writing credits. That, and the action looks to be really, surprisingly good.
