Zero Day stars De Niro as George Mullen, a popular but complicated former president who comes out of retirement to head a commission investigating a devastating cyberattack. The six-episode thriller comes from creators Eric Newman (
Narcos, The Watcher), Noah Oppenheim (screenwriter of
Jackie and former president of NBC News) and Michael S. Schmidt, a Pulitzer Prize-winning
New York Times reporter. The series has begun filming in New York.
