"Angry Birds" Film To Cost $185 Million

Rovio Entertainment is betting big on its upcoming 3D CG-animated film adaptation of the smart phone game "Angry Birds". Cineuropa reports that the project will have a production budget of around USD $80 million with a further $105 million for marketing and distribution.
Pekka Rantala, the CEO of Rovio, says: "You can accuse us of many things, but not of lack of courage. The film is getting very positive reactions from major retail and licensing partners, as well as from consumer focus groups, which will have a positive impact on licensing in the coming years. We expect some major announcements of partnerships."
Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Cristela Alonzo, Jillian Bell, Danielle Brooks and Romeo Santos all star in the film which is currently targeting a May 20th 2016 release.

The humor tries too hard.

The style seems interesting. But, the trailer did nothing for me.

It's because the humor doesn't hit the right notes. They overdid it with the 'awkward' situations type gags.

Also, the trailer went on forever. Way too long.
