ANIMATOR WANTED!
We are looking for an animator to help us with a 3-4 minute animated DEMO. I say "demo" because we're actually planning on doing a 19-20 minute long PAID pilot, but first we want to do this brief demo first to see how we all work together with the distance and clashing of styles. The demo is not paid... but any animator who does his or her share of work to the end will be automatically on board for the real project (except in the event of extreme circumstances).
The basic rundown of the pilot (titled: FOUR TANKS AND A HEALER) is this: 5 people play an online video game together every day. In real life, they are total strangers and we, the viewers, NEVER see what they really look like. In the game, they are best friends... despite 20-30 year age gaps and extreme differences in lifestyles. Anybody who's seen our work knows it's a very smart-ass but subtle style.
In the past, animator Jacob Drake has created our cartoons using flash animation. However, he'll be sitting this new project out in order to finish up another one. Our cartoons have literally MILLIONS of views. This is a very good opportunity for somebody to step up to the plate and be seen.
The animator we're looking for will be the "primary" animator. Basically, they'll be the one working with all of the others. It will be the primary animator's job to animate the characters onscreen. The style we're using is still very much open. We're open to new ideas at the moment and we're enjoying the numerous possibilities that lay before us. Whether it's 2D, 3D, flash, hand drawn, or otherwise... let us know if you're interested.
Our primary communication, as nerd as it seems... has been Facebook so far. We're able to upload videos and photos of our designs and test runs... and hold group conversations in private message boards.
