I'm now convinced that's it. Her lack of identity concealment probably comes from the lawlessness of Gotham
EPIC!

Costume design has without a doubt been the weakest aspect of these movies, bar none.
I just don't get that, I've loved them all.
Mostly agreed, save Catwoman I think they've been pretty good. Natural looking but also still in a Batman lore.
The Costumes this time around specifically Bane's dressings and Selena's dressings are outstanding
I doubt most people on the streets will know who Selina Kyle is, even if they got a close look. I think a domino mask would do the job of hiding her identity. Lots of women have long brown hair, that's not really a big giveaway either.I'm now convinced that's it. Her lack of identity concealment probably comes from the lawlessness of Gotham
Selina Kyle's dresses are absolutely beautiful and stunning on Hathaway and Bane's coat is pretty neat too.
Banes stylish coat kicks a** in my opinion. He looks like a true terrorist. And I dont think the mask is bad, is it any worse then some masks weve seen in some other cbm recently?Selina Kyle's dresses are absolutely beautiful and stunning on Hathaway and Bane's coat is pretty neat too.
Yes.***** Galore.

The only costumes I genuinely love in this franchise were The Joker's, Two-Face's, and Bane's (though I would have loved it more if his vest were black/grey).
The others I have either been disappointed by (Scarecrow's, Ra's al Ghul's, Catwoman's) or flat-out hated (Batman's in all three films).
Nolan and Hemming are 3-5 with me, which is pretty damn depressing - especially when the main character of the franchise falls in the latter category. In large, they've left a lot to be desired.
I don't hate any costume in this series. Catwoman is the one I like least though so far. Ra's was kinda boring too.
But I love Scarecrow with a suit!

I didint really expect any more from Scarcrows costume. Its never been that special in the comics or anything. I like Scarcrow better as just some crazy psychologist obsessed with f**** with peopls heads then I do as a typical villain in a costume. The Joker was definitely the greatest in the series. I love the grungy look, its how I would imagine the Joker. I do like some of the more classy looks too but I would stick with this one over that. Bane looks fine to me especially in that sick coat. Also, this is off topic but does anyone else seem to think Bane sounded Russian or Serbian in the prologue?? I really do, plus he was with Russian people. Im wondering if Nolan is making this incarnation of Bane from Serbia or something. It would work because the history of that country is very similar to the history of some South American countries (many Revolutions amung other things)...???
In this day and age? I see absolutely no reason why not.Is there really a Batman costume you could make that wouldnt look silly in some way? I mean rly, especially in a live action film.
I mean no disrespect to you, but I hate that mentality. Settling for something just because it could've been a lot worse. Well, it also could have been a lot better, which is why I'm disappointed. At least its not George Cloonys Batman
Yeah, they stepped up with the actresses' wardrobe this time because Dawes' outfits in both BB and TDK were absolutely boring.
I thought she had some really cute suits, and the dress at the fundraiser was very simple, stylish, and pretty. Though she's no Selina Kyle.
So funny yet so true.![]()
Yes...this 1000 times. This is kind of what I've been turning over in my head. the simplicity represents a world on the brink of ultimate loss. A city degrading, the suit is of that era, a sort of desperateness but who but Kyle to make is stylish and functionable, a testament to her craft.
Sure I'm surprised. From the neck down, it's a lot more sexual than I thought Chris would go for. On the list of risque things to display, I'd consider thigh-highs and stilettos to be far more naughty than a mere cowl. I've accepted that it's his way of paying homage to Newmar. It just so happens to be the only 60s show homage that I hate in a modern context.
