Look this thing goes around in circles...

They can't stand most who are not Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwheter or Eartha Kitt... and there obviously aren't many Nolan fans there.

We like what we like.

Eartha Kitt is awful. Her acting is not even over the top, it's just plain bad to me. On the other hand, Newmar and Meriwheter are great :)

Why has no one jumped on my Halle Berry comment?

Here's something for discussion - Would you rather that Catwoman stay alligned with Bats in the end or would you rather that she betrays him again?

I don't think she'll really betray him, but she may escape and steal something belonging to Bruce again.

The less said about Patience Phillips the better.
Haha fair enough.

I would definitely want her good in the end. Too many betrayals would make her a bad guy, and I really don't want her to be a bad guy.

My heart says she'll be with Bats, my head says she'll betray him.

Aligned at the end. Bats failed to redeem Dent, to bring him back to the light. Catwoman will be the opposite - starting as a villain, but being won over to heroism (or at least anti-heroism). Her arc is the sort of catharsis that Bruce and the plot itself needs.

I would prefer aligned in the end as well. I was going to type something out but ultimately it sounded too similar to ThePhantasm's post.

I think she won't be a villain in the end but her awesome heroic anti-heroine self by the end. Sometimes I wonder if that take of her riding the batpod up the road isn't the last we see of her in the movie.

and Bats sayins "she's a silent thief, a cat burglar". and in the same shot, Batman jumping from a building, ala Batman Begins. Credits roll "the dark knight rises" Dang! Full circle AND epic.

why must she be bad? Or good? Why must she be labeled in absolutes?

As for the question, I'd rather her be neither allied with Batman or anyone else at the end. Reaffirm her status as an independent woman who only plays for herself.

Because that's how I want her to be.

She will align with Batman and the 'forces of good' for the final battle. In that sense she will be seeing that that's the right side to be on after all Bane did, especially if she locks Batman in with Bane for the first fight. After that - there are absolutely ways to convey she's still her own person.

I don't see how in order to be an independent woman she has to remain totally self-absorbed. Whatever her alliance at the end of the film, I suspect Batman will have a positive, redemptive effect on her. In this way she'll be symbolic of Gotham. Batman's faith that Gotham and its people can be redeemed, a faith continually challenged throughout the trilogy, will here be rewarded. Selina, a person crafted by the hardship and pain of Gotham's underbelly, will be able to find new purpose. She'll find that herself, but Batman will be the inspiration.

Yeah, I was mainly talking about the last battle. At the end I wouldn't mind a bit of neutrality.

Dunno why, but everything that comes to my mind resembles BR. I don't like the idea of staying aligned to Batman. Where's her dark side in this? But if I choose "betraying", it all goes BR way. Like she kills for Batman, she sacrifices herself or something similar. We saw that. And it was awesome. Now I want something else. Considering the final of the saga will be something special, I believe, that Catwoman is involved in a really special way.

Its hard to speak in terms of alignment, because we don't even know what Batman's status will be at the end of the film.

Instead of Anne or Michelle Catwoman fans bashing each other, there's something we should all be able to agree upon and join forces to bash Halle's Catwoman instead. :woot:
