Hmm, intentional misspelling or not intentional misspelling, that is the question.
Well it can't be intentional...thought Chris was God
I did not even think about the permawhite when I said that. Heh fair enough. Like the S&M whip and claws though, they were ultimately cosmetic changes. You got me there.
Ha. It is late. I worship no filmmaker and especially not Nolan.
I realized five seconds ago reading that misquote that that response was coming.
Actress wise I prefer Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.
Anne Hathaway easily. I did enjoy Michelle's performance, but Anne played Catwoman exactly as I imagine her. Anne was a much more legitimate equal to Batman too, as well as a more sympathetic character. I'd say she was one of the best things about TDKR, possibly THE best. Michelle's Cat was too crazy and a bit of a caricature, which isnt surprising with Tim Burton directing her throughout.
It seemed more to me of a case of Anne doing a Michelle in her Catwoman, and I don't need sympathy for Catwoman shes a strong willed woman who relies on nobody. I found Anne, as a bit one dimentional, and too much rob the rich to feed the poor for my liking, and aired too much on the side of ***** rather than a 50/50 split. Get those claws out girls, i've gone against the madonna Anne.
To be fair, it is probably inevitable that every Catwoman will derive heavily from Pfieffer's, from this point on.
I really do not see that at all. Pffeifer gave a stunning turn as her Catwoman. But it is such a product of Tim Burton's style, and so singular to it, that I do not see beyond the voice it having much of an effect on anything since it's release beyond the mask and blond hair on Selina Kyle in TAS's first few seasons. But not TAS, The Batman, Brave and the Bold or Nolan really seemed to take much of anything from Pffeifer.
For Pffeifer fans this should be a good thing. Her interpretation is so unique that she stands alone.
I saw this on tumblr. It made me chuckle and pretty much sums up my thoughts.
Too bad they used such a cringeworthy line to make that meme
On paper, I gotta admit, that's a cheesy, horribly written line.
But Pfeiffer pulls it off I think. Watch that scene again, her tone and delivery are pretty perfect and I don't really sit there and think "ewww, that's awful".
I could never see/hear any of the other Catwomen saying that or pulling it off though.
I've never really minded the line myself. Not particularly memorable, nor awful.
Such an awful line.
What do you think of, "Cat got your tongue"?
It didn't make me cringe as much as "You dumb *****." "No one has ever accused me of being dumb." "You're duuuuuuuuum for coming here." Such awful dialogue.
That's true but it didn't help that she shared screen time with Dagget. He was so awful in my opinion.
"Can we get sum gurls up in here."
Yeah right. LOL
I loved Dagget. Such a slimey bastard xD
He was a delight to watch and even more of a delight to watch die.
His lines sucked so bad.
"The 'Clean Slate'? Where you type in someone's name, date of birth and a few minutes their gone from every database on earth? You got that exposition, audience? Understand what we're talking about now?"
I enjoyed his death scene but mostly because of Bane, not because of Dagget.
Too bad we never saw him die though, just heard him. I wish I could like him, but I couldn't (for the character he was). Same goes for Foley (who I thought I'd really like before the film came out for some reason). I much prefer the Dagget from Batman the Animated Series.
If I had to choose between Max Shreck or Dagget, I'd go with Max Shreck every time.
Well. It's not really fair to put most characters up against Walken
Judging from the sounds he made, he either died or Bane tickled him.
I think I have to go with Pfeiffer. I always felt she was the most enduring character of all the earlier Bat films. I figured she would definately be the toughest to reinvent. I definately enjoyed some of what Nolan was doing with the character, but there was just too many other key elements that i've associated with the character that I didn't see. Maybe if she had more screen time I'd change my mind.
Not the best line but not cringe worthy.
