Another Sony mess up

I can't believe they slipped up like that. I mean, you can plainly see in the picture that it's only a 3-D game, so that should've been the first hint that it's not a PS3 game.

Not to mention that it's CLEARLY only 720p and not TRUE HD.

I mean, I can understand if a SNES website accidentally used that image, but it's too painfully obvious that that's no PS3 game.

I can't believe they slipped up like that. I mean, you can plainly see in the picture that it's only a 3-D game, so that should've been the first hint that it's not a PS3 game.

Not to mention that it's CLEARLY only 720p and not TRUE HD.

I guess the news that a firmware update corrected backwards compatibility (more than the 360 can say at this point), took some ammo out of your hands so you had to grasp for something to fill it quick, and.....you found out they posted a wrong pic .

Then saying SNES graphics are >>> than PS3 graphics...lol. Must be getting boring for some of Sony haters over on the Microsoft forums waiting for the tiniest mess ups from Sony so you can post them fast heh. It's really not a big deal.

P.S. Do imdaly and Assman = the same person? Noticed a few incidents of them posting within a few mins of eachother, and always backing eachother up. I could be wrong and it just be a coincidence. It seems a lot of ppl at the Hype have more than one account name (personally only have time to post under 1 name myself heh).

If it's at me, it's just there was a period where there were more random bash Sony threads than actual relevant Sony threads. I guess it just gets stupid to me after a point with some of the things that are brought up to knock on Sony. I mean a wrong pic posted is worth "Another Sony mess up" thread .

Well, still a pic error isn't worthy of a new thread IMO, and is slightly funny in a sad way to make a big deal over.

As for the last part, I only say that because I've noticed how close together 'their' post times are.

In this post Assman posts this at 6:24, imdaly responds at 6:31 (probably roughly 6-7 mins later).

And seemed to post pretty close to eachother with this thread too several times, and a few others.

Lol, just something I noticed while looking thru threads. I'll bite the bullet and say I was wrong tho, I might not be, but it doesn't matter. BTW I just have a good memory and noticed they post together a decent amount of times in and out of the Sony forums and they type in pretty similar fashions, so it just stuck with me, I have one of those memory types, I wasn't really looking for a connection it just stuck in the back of my head.

Nah, not really reaching at all. Sony using an image from a game that's not only not the game advertised, but is only available on their rivals' system is just pure stupidity. It'd be like seeing a Burger King commercial where it shows a bunch of people eating and enjoying Big Macs with a voice-over saying "Come on and get your Whopper today!"

Read what I said again, buddy. I was actually saying that PGR3's graphics would be easier confused as a SNES game than a PS3 game, because as we all know, NOTHING can come close to the 4-D TRUE HD majesty that is a PS3 game. Also, apparently I need to underline the sarcasm there, too.

Actually, I actually suffer from split personality disorder, and Zenien and I are the same people. I'm sure you'll notice many times when we both post right after each other and debate gaming news. Yeah, our personalities don't agree on a lot.

Why is this 'NEWS' tho? I can't count how many times something coming out posted a wrong picture, and yes of a competitor's product even. I'm just not seeing the relevance of posting a thread called "Another Sony Mess Up" over something so small. This could have easily just been mentioned in a foot note in one of the other dozen anti Sony threads that pop up on a weekly basis.

Not a Sony lover as much as someone who doesn't see the point of so much Sony hate from a few of you. I don't prefer Xbox, but I don't make thread after thread in the Xbox forums about each little thing. Heck I think the only one I made was about a new processor, which I labeled as "Could be good".

The difference is, while I liked the Playstation line of consoles, I don't feel loyalty to Sony, I just enjoy this line of consoles. I've noticed however a few of you seem to have so much loyalty to Microsoft that you feel the need to post each and every minor or major mess up Sony makes. Whereas I've noticed many of the 'sony lovers' don't do the same on the Microsoft forums. That speaks more about lack of maturity to me.

It prob sounds like I'm overracting, but honestly I don't care too much. I guess I just don't see the point of getting so attached to a company, or product that you feel the need to search for their shortcomings or attack others who defend it. <Shrugs> I probably never will either.

I owned all 3 last gen consoles & do plan on eventually owning all 3 this gen consoles if you must know & you are definitely overreacting just drop it & no I do not "search" for negative news I just happen to visit game sites & its not my fault that it just happens to be Sony that does negative stuff that most of time & as I keep saying if your going to talk about one console fan base that bashes the other console fan base then you include that console fan base that is getting bashed because they do the exact same things & bash the other consoles & its fan base.

So it took you all of 5 seconds to find a news article to prove that this isn't worth of being "news"? Umm, if it was news for Microsoft, it's news for Sony.

And there's also one very large difference: Microsoft used a copyrighted photo of someeone showing off Windows Vista to show of...Windows Vista.

Now if it had been a picture of a guy showing off Linux or something, and Microsoft used it to show off Vista, it'd be a much better comparison.

Sony does it's share of crap I won't argue, but you forget Microsoft is a company built on monopolies and has done it's share of negative things as well. If you look for something bad you will find it, but if you look at the broad picture you'll find almost everything in any company has it's share of messed up crap.

Plus you cut and messed up that sentence to bend it the way you wanted it to mean, I really don't care to argue.

You said it's way easier to find things negative on Sony, and I said, "Sony does it's share of crap I won't argue, but you forget Microsoft is a company built on monopolies and has done it's share of negative things as well." That doesn't necessarily mean you in general, I was trying to imply that it's easy to google 'bad news for Sony' and find a plethora of bad news about them, but that Microsoft has had lengthy periods of bad news themselves, and have a negative image among many ppl.

Just look at it this way....if OXM had ran an ad for...hmm, I dunno...FFXII, you just know someone would have made a "MICROSOFT SUCKS, BUT AT LEAST THEY ADVERTISE SONY STUFF!" thread immediatly.

I'm not saying you would do it, but SOMEONE would, and no one can't deny it.
