A man who was jolted with a Taser has died in a Dartmouth, N.S., jail.

The 45-year-old man died Thursday morning at the Burnside correctional centre, about 20 hours after police used a stun gun on him.

Nova Scotia Justice Minister Cecil Clarke said there will be a review of the police's use of Tasers, but there will not be a ban on the weapons.

RCMP and the province's chief medical examiner are investigating the man's death.

The hand-held Tasers deliver a jolt of electricity, which immobilizes the person targeted.

The unidentified man is the latest person to die after being stunned by a Taser.

Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski died at the Vancouver airport five weeks ago, prompting the federal government to order a review of the RCMP's Taser policy.

That review will not include other police forces.

Damn... how much do they have these Tasers set to? For me the most disturbing part of all this is how this is occurring in what's supposed to be one of the safest countries on the planet. :(

"Tazer set to... DEATH!!"

Introducing the Taser mp3 player

Have you ever been frustrated by the lack of a convenient way to electrocute people while listening to some of your favourite tunes? Well, the answer to your prayers is here.

The new range of, um, ultra-stylish Tasers

Taser, the world's leaders in delivering high-voltage shocks to the target of your choice, are releasing a handy all-in-one stun-gun and mp3 player carry case.

The product was unveiled at the massive Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The Music Player Holster's mp3 player can hold up to 1GB of music – enough for 150 or so songs – and the C2 stun gun can deliver 50,000 volts into your desired shockee, via a pair of darts. The wires that connect the darts give it a range of up to 15 feet, so you can shock to your heart's content.

While the carry case is a sensible, I-mean-business black, the Taser itself comes in a range of stylish patterns, including a classy leopard print look – perfect for people who want to put the fun back into high-voltage incapacitation devices. Or put the 'cute' back in 'electrocute', we suppose.

So, if you're looking for a perfect present for that music fan/electric shock enthusiast in your life, look no further.

Songs To Listen To While Tasing Somebody
Electro-Shock Blues – Eels
Danger! High Voltage – Electric Six
Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment – The Ramones
Get The Message – Electronic
Twelve Volt Man – Jimmy Buffett
She's Electric – Oasis
Such Current Of Electricity Shall Continue To Pass – Redrum
Shock Treatment – Pizzicato Five
Electricity – Spiritualized
I'm Fried – The Stooges

What will they think up next?

They need to stop killing people with Non-Lethal Weapons.

Was the tazer really the cause of his death? He died almost one full day after being tazed.

DANGER DANGER! High voltage! When we touch, when we kiss. [/Electric Six]

These people have the best sense of humor ever.
