I wonder if this film will also build towards Infinity War

Cool looks like a flashback scene as Douglas has a brown wig and no facial hair. Pfeiffer's hair is very seventies/eighties blow out as well.

So they still aren't bringing Janet back to the present time? Guess that adventure will be saved for Ant-Man 3 if it makes it that far.

This is just a flashback scene. I'm sure Janet will be pulled into present day during the course of the film.

Pfeiffer is still beautiful.

She is very beautiful, but still I wonder if they will use Anti Aging techniques like they did for Douglas during the flashback scenes in Ant-Man.

I have my suspicions that Hope is gonna lose both parents in this one.

“I have figured out how to get myself into the Marvel Universe… I can only tell you that I, as a comic reader from childhood, I was a Marvel guy primarily because I grew up in New York City in the 60s and 70s when Marvel was really touching on everything that was happening in my world. It was reflected in the books and in the stories they were telling.”

“I got the offer to do Perry White in Man of Steel, I said yes to that. Obviously Batman v Superman I said yes to that. I was unable to be involved in the Justice League movie, scheduling-wise it just wasn’t going to work out, but I had wanted very much to be part of the Marvel universe at the same time. So I went to them and pitched them a couple of ideas and basically said, ‘Look, if there’s anything I can do that makes sense for me to do in the Marvel universe, I would love to be involved. So they came to me with an offer to be Bill Foster in Ant-Man and the Wasp.”

“All I can tell you is I’m playing Bill Foster, who was Hank Pym’s assistant. That’s how I enter into the world and I’m very excited. Peyton Reed is directing it, who directed the first one. It’s gonna be as fun and cool and smart as the first one.”

Plus as Black-ish showed, Fishburne can do comedy.

I wouldn't be surprised if one or many Avengers show up in this film especially if Infinity War is right before this film

He was team Cap so I think Falcon appearing would be a clear choice. If the movie has nothing to do with Thanos, I just don't see many other heroes appearing.

So Mark Hughes at Forbes did a piece on Thor’s box office today...

...and buried in it was this little nugget:

while Ant-Man and the Wasp will ride the Avengers coattails and sport some radical visual effects concepts (just wait til you start seeing some of what they've done with this film).

Now I wonder what’s floating around being shown behind the scenes. But whatever it is it sounds great.

Feige gave a bit of info on Ant-Man and the Wasp recently as well

You mentioned having the Hulk in this film, and Doctor Strange has a couple of moments in this movie too. We also saw Tony Stark show up in Spider-Man: Homecoming earlier this year. Is that the way forward for future films? Does it give you more flexibility from a storytelling point of view and even from a creative point of view with the actors and their availability?

That's one of the advantages, but it really does vary. You look at the first movie we put out this year, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, that was its own thing, its own set of players. Black Panther is very much insular, it's the world of Wakanda and T'Challa's story. Ant-Man and the Wasp is very centered on the mythology of Ant-Man and focusing on those primary characters.

For some reason I thought this was out much later in the year, but just two months after Infinity War!

Wow. Marvel spoiling us in 2018 too. :mrk:

Fox and Marvel aren't playing next year. They both got 3 movies coming out.

I have no problem with that. :D

Oh man, I bet they're gonna go balls-to-the-wall crazy with the sizes now that they can use Giant-Man.
As much as Infinity War is THE event of the decade, Ant-Man and the Wasp is certainly up there, just in terms of how great Ant-Man looked on the big screen.

Peyton Reed and Paul Rudd wishing Adam Ant a Happy Birthday on twitter. Wonder if they will get some of his music the film this time around.
