Quantumania Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

this is goingto be a common problem if Marvel works on 3 to 4 movies + 3 to 4 shows at the same time.

I hope technology gets much better that vfX becomes less eXpensive and won't require thousands of artists, just to polish things.

There are just things you can't automate. If anything, these movies will need an ever-increasing number of VFX artists.

The issue is time. And taking the human element out does not help.

Time will tell. They might only release Loki/Secret Invasion in 2023 but Agatha, Ironheart, Daredevil and Wonder Man are already in the works, so who knows if they are all released in 2024.

I did say time in my post.

If they are working 8 projects at the same time, that obviously affects time.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is currently seeing an OMG 71% drop with a $30M

Rewatched the first Ant Man and it was better than I remembered. Paul Rudd trying to reconnect with his daughter is a genuine good human storyline and you definitely root for him, the movie has a cool Batman Beyond ish type thing with Hank Pym and Scott Lang, and it does a good job showing off Ant Man’s unique powers. It deserved better sequels than it got

Ant-man and the Wasp was tremendously fun tho. 0 stakes but fun.

I really fail to understand how they went from those f***cking amazing macro-photography set pieces in the first Ant-Man to the green screen/volume/CGI nightmare of Quantumania.

I really hope this scares the crap out of Disney/Marvel and they take their time moving forward.
This could be a humbling eXperience to them.

Back from Iron Man to Shang-Chi, they were like critic-proof. 25 consecutive films.

I'd hate to see Blade, Fantastic Four and X-Men get a rotten rating under Marvel Studios. We've never seen a Blade film and a Fantastic 4 film with a fresh rating and that grossed over $350 million worldwide

Well even before Ant-Man 3 came out, you could tell Feige was taking the criticism of other MCU films and series seriously. They even announced there will be more spacing out the content. I think there will be some changes but you might not see them for another year or two.

There's like at least seven upcoming Mcu shows including new seasons of What if? and Loki. I feel like it might even take more than two years.

I feel like they've already announced too many projects. I wonder if they could release 4 films per year from 2024 to 2026 as Disney already announced placeholder dates. Thats 12 movies for just the neXt 3 years....

Most of the shows are still early in production enough that they can make changes I think. So far it looks like Secret Invasion and Loki will come out this year. Not sure about anything else. I guess What If also

Ironheart and Echo are in post production. Agatha is currently filming. Daredevil and Wonder Man are already casting. What are the chances we would see all those five before Fantastic Four in Feb 2025? The TV side from the looks of it, isn't slowing down yet.

And between now to next year, who knows how many unannounced shows Marvel Studios will they develop?

From what I’ve read, Marvel isn’t too happy with how Echo is coming together so that could easily get released without much marketing behind it or see a reduction in the episode count just to not push it too far with the likelihood it connects to Daredevil.

Ironheart will probably get an early 2024 release and Agatha could come out sometime later that year. The animated stuff like What If and X-Men could come out the same year as live action content so What If could be this summer or fall and X-Men could be the same time next year.

I’m not sure where Wonder Man, the Special Presentations, and likely second seasons of Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight would fall and taking large gaps between seasons isn’t the best idea when you’re trying to generate hype around these series.

Iron heart and Echo might be in post production but they haven’t announced a release date yet. They’re keeping all the dates vague because everything is still in flux.

Thats the thing though even if we only get Secret Invasion/Loki in 2023, their upcoming slate is still so large. Like I'd be surprised if its only 2 shows again in 2024. Wonder Man is probably going to start filming before 2024, and that would be one more show already in the Disney vault waiting to be streamed by Disney+ subscribers. At some point, Disney would release these shows and they can't just hold them off by "spacing them out" when they are still juggling multiple shows at the same time.

Also they have 4 films for neXt year... like thats already too many compare to this year which goes against with slowing down.

Some of those movies slated for next year will definitely be moved into 2025. I think they should do 3 movies again for 2024. Delay Thunderbolts into the fall.
