I don't know about anyone else but I found Linderman to be a particularly interesting character. He was an interesting shade of gray, but sadly he was removed from most of the plots and was mostly invovled with Nicki's subplot (ugh). Anyone think there is a chance he healed himself or survived somehow and will return in Season 2?

Probably not. DL did a number on him...he dead. (Bad grammar for emphasis. :o)

Flashbacks for sure. Anything else, I doubt it.

But if this show really is like live action comic book, isn't the first rule of comic books no one is ever really dead?

hire malcolm mcdowell for 3-4 scenes, then just kill him off for good. For some odd reason, I just don't see that happening.

This upcoming Volume is called 'Generations'...I am sure Malcolm will be in there somewhere...

Linderman's ability is to heal things...and bring things back from the dead.

Why couldn't that include himself?

McDowell's gonna come back...IDK how but he will :o

I think he's dead. I think he's going to stay that way. I'm sure if they do a flashback to the original generation (Linderman, Peterelli Couple, Papa Devaeaux, Papa Nakamura, etc, when they were first together) that Linderman will be featured, though perhaps played by a younger actor.

The show, thankfully, breaks comic book conventions every episode. I hope the 'dead isn't really dead' rule goes out the same door that costumes, secret identities, physics-breaking, instant power mastery and only-Americans-get-superpowers went out of. And I hope that 'dead isn't really dead' runs into aliens out there too, so that they don't show up.

I've seen guest stars come on tv shows for fewer scenes than that and never come back, and those characters were ALIVE, the show just didn't need the character anymore.

Yeah, the whole show has people breaking the laws of physics. :yay:

The problem with bringing a great character like this back would be that NBC would start down the slippery slope a-la "Alias" and follow the formula of kill/bring back cast and will/random. :down

Oh, did I say "Alias"? Because I meant Marvel/DC comics. :o

that is why sylar survived. lindermann is dead! dead! dead!

Lindermann probably is dead, which is disappointing because McDowell is awesome.

That being said, however, I still don't want him to come back except perhaps in flashbacks, becuase like prognosticator said, it is lame when characters are constantly dying and coming back to life. It really cheapens the story and the characters, and it just gets annoying after a while.

Because he can't use his powers if he's dead. So he'll probably stay dead.

We've seen dead characters reappear on the show, Mr. Deveaux, Simone... given that the new season is called Generations, i have no doubt we'll see Linderman again.

Yup. He'll show up behind the curtain in the future.

Ok not sure if its a flashback scene or what it is but if you watch the latest trailer HRG is slapping down who I am 99% sure is Linderman.

Yeah I agree it looks like Linderman that HRG is slapping there. Could be somebody else though.

He'll probably show up in a flashback, or in Dreamtime.

As long they don't have dopplegangers. ugh:down

Kensei = Linderman...mark my words

That would make sense, if we didn't already know about Linderman's childhood and that he was in his late teens/early twenties when he served in Vietnam.

or an illusionist, like Candance?

on the Linderman topic, don't forget that the last episode opened the door for any dead character to be able to appear again, when Peter fainted and had that weird dreamtime travel to the day he met Charles, and since the writers have established that the powers stem from the dreamtime or stuff like that, some of them transcend the space/time barrier (Hiro, Peter, Charles, Isaac, Bob, Molly, etc)

it wouldn't surprise me if Peter ever travels into one of Isaac's trances and interacts with his white eyed self, wouldn't that be awesome?
