It the end I guess the Emmys shouldnt matter to me, but I like to see when something I like gets the recognition it deserves.
I think this season of TV was really good IMO

  • I think Modern Family HAS to get nominated for Best COmedy, Ty Burell for Leading Actor, Eric Stonestreet for Supporting, and maybe Julie Bowen
  • Community should be nominated but probably wont. Joel McHale for Best Comedy Actor Abed or Chevy Chase for Supporting Actor
  • Nick Offerman should get something for Parks and Recreation I think he was the funniest character on TV this season
  • Zach Gilford for best supporting actor in Drama Friday Night Lights
  • Joseph Mazzello should get something for his portryal of Sledge in The Pacific
  • And I say this every year for every TV award show at the least James Roday and Dule Hill should get nominated for Psych
  • Lost: Terry O Quinn should get a nod for sure, the series as a whole should win DRAMA I think.
Those are some of my hopes, but probably none except part of the first and last bullets are going to happen

EDIT: And I pray the guys from Two and 1/2 Men aren't nominated because they really don't deserve it

I'd like to see Bruce Campbell get a nod for supporting actor on Burn Notice as well as James Roday. The only USA show that ever gets respect is Monk, when others are so much more deserving. Give White Collar some love too.

Also, the cast of Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia deserve some nominations. Charlie Day, Danny DeVito, and Kaitlin Olson all deserve nods.

But this should be the year of 24, I think.

Best Dramatic Actor will come down to Shaloub and Sutherland, I think. Even though Shaloub hasn't been fantastic on Monk since season 3, and has instead played a caricature instead of a character, the Academy loves Shaloub. That said, one cannot deny Sutherland's performance in the later episodes of season 8 and being as its the end, I see him winning.

GRegory Itzin should get a make up win for Season 5 of 24 (when he lost to the less deserving Alan Alda because he's a legend and was on the last season of West Wing) however it will be deserved. He did a fantastic job and deserves Best Supporting Actor.

Cherry Jones should get another Emmy.

I think the race for Best Drama will come down to 24 and Lost. I think Lost's ending received mixed reception where as 24's seemed to be universally praised. I see 24 edging it out.

Shaloub would be nominated for Actor in Comedy series not drama. For Drama my guesses are. MAtthew Fox, Jon Hamm, Bryan Cranston, Michael C Hall, Hugh Laurie, Kiefer Sutherland are going to get nominated

That's right. They consider Monk comedy.

I think the big race will be supporting actor in drama. Itzin or Lithgow?

How about Jane Lynch not being robbed of an award by a less deserving actress? I think I'd like that.

For the state of completely emotional wreckage he left me in during the last 10 minutes of Lost, Matthew Fox.

And I'd love to see a little Emmy love for Jorge Garcia too.

Also Modern Family, for just being the funniest show on TV this season.

I think Lynch should win. I dont like Glee that much, but from what Ive seen she's hilarious in it

Nestor Carbonell for best supporting actor in a drama.

I have a feeling Lost will get quite a few nominations, but I not as many wins.

This year can be summed up in five words:

24 vs Lost vs Dexter.

Aah, yes..... but unfortunately all three will enevitably lose to Mad Men. :csad:

Maybe its because I dont watch 24 but I dont think that its going to be HUGE competition maybe a view nods

I love Mad Men. It's my 2nd obsession after Lost.

But I want Lost to reign this year. It most likely won't, but it would be nice.

I don't know why they've cancelled the Cable Ace awards since that's what the Emmy's always seem to nominating only cable TV shows.

I would like to see either Glee or Modern Family take home the Best Comedy award and LOST take home the Best Drama award. Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson needs to get nominated. To a lesser extent, Matthew Fox. Maybe Fox take Best Actor and Quinn or Emerson take Best Supporting Actor.

I really don't agree with this. 24 was good this year, but it was the same thing we've seen 7 times before. It's why I'm glad they ended the show, it's become stale and formulaic. Shows like Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Lost move their characters are stories forward, 24 just repeats itself.

One show I'd to see get some love, but never will is Supernatural. This season was great, if for no other reason than showing God and his Archangels as a petty, squabiling, disfunctional family.

Sunny is more deserving than Glee or Modern Family. I like Modern Family but it has a way to go before its on par with Sunny (or this year's best freshman comedy, Community, for that matter). Glee has become far too preachy for its own good since its come back and its resulting in a lot of the show's fun being sucked from it. Sunny is consistently good and deserves recognition.

Every show sticks to its formula to an extent. The acting and story telling in the final ten episodes of 24 were some of the best the show has every put.

You know, as much as I love It's Always Sunny, this past season didn't do that much for me. There were only a handful of really great episodes. I'd rather see this season of Curb nominated.

With LOST there isn't a lead, so I imagine any noms would come in best supporting actor, and I reckon Terry OQuinn is the most likely to get nommed, but he'll face tough competition from Gregory Itzbin and the stand out IMO John Lithgow.

Cherry Jones deserves a best supporting actress nom but I reckon the best actress win will go to Julianne Marguilles, and The Good Wife must be a contender for best drama.

Kiefer Sutherland has to be in with a shout for best actor in a drama and I hope he wins.

Does White Collar have a shot at any category?

I read that they submitted the LOST series finale for consideration. Matthew Fox should at least get nominated for his acting during the last 10 minutes of the finale. But I agree, Terry O Quinn will probably be nominated.

I only care for daytime emmy's, primetime can take a cue from LOST and get LOST in tv wasteland. :o

Bryan Cranston - Best Actor for the third year running for his work in Breaking Bad. Make it happen, Emmys!

I hope Jon Hamm finally takes home the Best Actor Emmy.

I'm really hoping that Glee's cast gets some decent presence in the nominations, not just Jane Lynch, who's probably a sure thing to win Best Supporting Actress (Comedy). I'd like to see nominations for Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Chris Colfer.
