I wonder if or when we will hear if Supergirl will or won't be integrated into the Flash-Arrow-verse. All we have heard is that their will be a big mega-crossover mid-season.

Like I said in the other thread, don't expect any news, because unless they do intend to radically change the status quo? There's nothing at all to announce. And I seriously doubt they intend to radically change the status quo anytime soon, if ever.

I watched the SG's World's Finest before binging on the Flash for a week to catch up. Have to say I was disappointed that Barry barely says anything about being to Earth 3. There's a throw-away line about being back, then it went right into the plot. I was hoping to have some reactions from Team Flash about Barry meeting a hot, super-powered alien!

ahh, missed opportunities...

Flash and Arrow aren't allowed to mention Supergirl the same way they aren't allowed to mention Superman and Batman. Supergirl, however, is allowed to mention Superman.

Oh...

Thankfully, that will be changing soon then!:woot:

Even with no news, Supergirl is likely not going to be integrated with the Arrowverse and has no reason to either. The mega crossover between the four shows will be the closest to it.

Flash and Arrow aren't allowed to mention Supergirl

There is absolutely no evidence of this.

Flash and Arrow haven't mentioned Supergirl because she doesn't exist on their Earth (that they know of).

Barry's trip to "Earth-S" (Kara's Earth isn't Earth-3 and hasn't been officially labeled) was only tangentially connected to the storyline involving Zoom, and pausing to acknowledge what happened there in any great detail would've slowed down the momentum of that storyline at a point when it needed to be continuously ramped up.

A guy is going talk about a hot-alien chick. It's just Guy-Law!:woot:

^ Not when he's got a million other things to deal with, all of them life-or-death.

Guaranteed it will have been an off screen conversation.

in the big four series cross over, you'll have Cisco say something like "Oh man. Is that THE Supergirl? The hot alien from another earth you were telling me about?!"

Oh no, he would have made time!

Just a little aside where Barry says, 'Cisco, there was really cool alien chick-'
And at which point Wells interrupts cause he want to talk about Zoom-a-zoom-ZOOM!
And poor Cisco is left with the words 'cool alien chick,' circling around in his head.

How it should have happened.:chd:

There is absolutely no evidence of this.

Flash and Arrow haven't mentioned Supergirl because she doesn't exist on their Earth (that they know of).

Barry's trip to "Earth-S" (Kara's Earth isn't Earth-3 and hasn't been officially labeled) was only tangentially connected to the storyline involving Zoom, and pausing to acknowledge what happened there in any great detail would've slowed down the momentum of that storyline at a point when it needed to be continuously ramped up.

It's true there isn't any evidence. But there's a pretty fracking slam dunk pattern.

However, we can notice a pattern of 'talking around' certain things, and while we can explain all the talking around Superman and Batman references as just artistic, or not needed for the story, or whatever, the pattern is that Flarrow is the red-headed stepchild of the DCEU, and the ridiculously awkward pause Barry displayed after he came back form Earth-S without mentioning anything even in the broadest of strokes fits that pattern.

In addition to the pattern, there's the serious narrative problem that comes when Barry can talk to Supergirl, and Supergirl can talk about Superman but Barry can't. So when Supergirl goes onto Earth-1, can she suddenly not mention her cousin? Does that sound ridiculous? Because it sure is.

So downplaying the weird silence into "they just didn't want to go into detail" can rest on the "we don't know for sure" pile with Bigfoot. But it's a hope, nothing more. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not intellectually compelling, even if you call for evidence, because you can't produce any either.

^ I don't know what 'pattern' you're seeing, but what you're saying makes no sense.

I honestly would rather not have Superman in the CW as opposed to the CW doing Superman wrong. There's a fine balance between making Superman come off as modern without losing the character's core characteristics and sticking to the past too much and coming off as hokey and dated.

Just typing this makes me like Rebirth even more.

Well, the show is still titled 'Supergirl,' even after the move to the CW. So, Superman will be around, but I don't think he'll be in every episode. I think we can look forward to more direct interaction between Kara and Kal than just passing emails back and forth. It may move face-to-face as Supes takes on a more direct mentor role and be seen once or twice a month. 'cause after all, he has his own city to protect.

But also with the move to the CW, I would assume that this 'don't say this name or mention that super-hero,' will hopefully disappear.

There are a lot of pluses with them now all living on the same block, as it were.

^ I don't know what 'pattern' you're seeing, but what you're saying makes no sense.

Okay. I shall restate in a more tl'dr friendly manner:

Pattern: Flarrow always repeatedly awkwardly mentions its crossovers.
Pattern break: Then for the biggest crossover ever, they suddenly decide not to even acknowledge one happened. Ever.
Hope: Maybe they didn't mention it because they couldn't figure out how traveling to a new Earth could be relevant to the plot?

Pattern: Flarrow is silent on all things Superman.
Pattern Break: Supergirl casts Superman.
Pattern consistency: Flarrow is silent on all things Supergirl.
Hope: Maybe they didn't ever mention it because they just never had time.

Pattern: WB movies puts embargoes on CW TV.
Pattern Break: WB does not put embargoes on Supergirl.
Hope: Maybe WB puts embargoes on Supergirl too, and we just don't know about it.

Hope is a beautiful thing. But it's not evidence, and it doesn't make 'sense.' That's why it's hope.

^ Correction: One DC/WB movie (Suicide Squad) put ONE embargo on ONE DC TV series (Arrow).

That's not a pattern; it's an isolated instance.

You're also reading far too much into a lack of mention of Barry's adventure on "Earth-S".

The other thing is in Legends of tomorrow they do mention Superman and Batman.
Granted it's a little bit of a throw away line.
I can't remember who said it either Vandal or Rip, when he says.
"I have seen Men of Steel parish and Dark Knights fall"

What I think is going to happen is after the Flashpoint story arc is over before the mega crossover, Earth-S will be part of the main universe. Like in the way the Wildstorm universe became part of the main DC universe after the flashpoint comic.

It's a cheap easy way to retcon the CWverse not knowing or have heard of Superman before.

Rip's ship is capable of interdimensional travel, so his comment means nothing other than that he's seen what he says he's seen, and has no bearing on what may or may not happen to the Multiverse.

I found these on PinInterest. Some very cool ones and some very cuuute ones!

I would now love for Kara to dump James and for Barry to get over Iris.

Super Flash!

Nah, I don't want the lovers separated by city drama, that doesn't work for these shows.
