Its on tv, now wasnt really paying attention to it ,but the more he talks the more im drawn to him, he has such charisma.

it was on cnn, and sky, Im not sure what channel he was in the states.

yes that was what the speech was about

too soon for a black prez? or too soon for him?

Just caught the tail end of it. I love this guy. I hope he gets the nomination. It's time for a change. People say he's too young or too inexperienced, but the way I look at it, this country has been run into the ground for decades by a bunch of old white men who care about nothing more than securing their own offices for as long as they can hold them. Obama has a passion and a vision, which is more than I can say for any other candidate in the running for either party.

I kinda know what you mean.

oh and I swear they were they playing that song from the jeffersons ''movin on up'' at the end of his speech?

He's a great politician and speaker, but I think he's far too inexperienced in Federal politics to be elected President. But the best part is, he's young, so he'll have lots of time to run again.

they interviewed some black woman on cnn and she said that Obama chose to be black,

They might as well play the theme to "good times" while Obama screams
"Dyn-O-mite!!!".

What will the racists do if the democrats nominate Obama and the republicans nominate Colin Powell?

Move to Canada? :woot:

The thing about Obama is, any poster on the Hype is just as qualified to be President as he is. It is too soon.

I read a poll, I'll look for the link, in which Obama beats out the other Repubs as of right now.

However, Hilary pwned everyone.

But no Hype posters are in his plum spot right now, so it's moot.

I'd hardly call it a plum spot. I think John Edwards is in a much more enviable position than Hilary, Obama, Giulliani, or McCain. He has his name known, but is not over-exposed. When you are in the media spotlight as much as they are, the first little thing that comes to light will destroy them. Look at Howard Dean's scream. Do you really think that was such a big deal? Of course not, but when you are in the spotlight that much, one foot out of place and the media is all over it.

Furthermore, once the election season gets in full swing (which should be pretty soon being as the first primary is only 11 months away) the other candidates will try to show how inexperienced Obama is, and it will probably be effective, because lets face it...Obama's platform includes three things: Being charasmatic, being handsome, and being black.
