Sony To Merge "Eternal" And "Apollo Rising"

Sony Pictures is set to meld two different projects about the ancient Greek Gods appearing on contemporary Earth.
The first is "Apollo Rising," based on an original idea by Stan Lee which Lee and "Spider-Man" producer Avi Arad have developed. The second is the spec script "Eternal" by "Red Queen" author Victoria Aveyard.
"Eternal" is a modern interpretation of the story about Greek Gods and the various legendary monsters from Greek mythology coming to modern day Earth. "Apollo Rising" sees the Greek Gods living among humans on Earth in various hidden forms.
Both will be blended together for a new project which Arad, Lee, Michael Costigan, Pouya Shabazian, J.C. Spink and Jake Weiner will produce.
