We thought it would never happen, but here it is for the first time available on ITunes!!!!

AQUAMAN

Created by: Al Gough & Miles Millar

Sympnosis: Years ago, self-assured dive shop owner Arthur "A.C." Curry, lost his mother in the mysterious Bermuda Triangle, and now he is honing his amazing aquatic abilities under the tutelage of a cryptic lighthouse keeper. A.C. knows that he must risk everything to protect the world's vast oceans, even if it brings him into conflict with alluring Navy pilot Rachel Torres. As he trains with his haunted mentor and relies on his lose confident, Eva, A.C. grows to embrace an even bigger mission: an ominous invisible war between the world A.C. inhabits and the one that bore him. This grounded contemporary reinterpretation of DC Comics' Aquaman mythology comes from acclaimed writing/ producting team Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville).

Be the first to se the pilot episode of Aquaman right here on ITunes!

Take note that there is still a possibility that we will see the PILOT sometime during Smallville Season 6, as reported earlier.

Justin Hartley (Arthur Curry) is set to star in Smallville as the Green Arrow this season.

Which would be wierd to see him as the Green Arrow and then as Aquaman. I think they should have cast someone else as Arrow.

But the piolt for Aquaman was AMAZING!!!!

Better than Smallville.

They should just air the pilot. I like to see more comic based shows.

I'll give them credit for one thing....Amber Macdonald, way more talented and better looking than the Chloe and Lois actresses, she could own their roles.

Shes the only female that Gough and Millar ever put out there that isnt annoying. Major plus

I don't have itunes. Is there any other way to download the pilot? Anyone have it in another format or whatever?

i think the reason they cast him as ollie was to prevent him from taking another gig if aquaman is picked up as a midseason replacement.

It would have made more sense to cast him as AC on Smallville then and someone else as GA.

If Aquaman is picked up, they can't really use AC on Smallville in their junior justice league unless Hartley cloned himself somehow.

Actualy they already Had Aquama non Smallville and it was palyed by another guy

I know but I dont think WB would have the American Idol reject appear as Aquaman on SV while Hartley plays Aquaman on his own series (asssuming it gets picked up).

They dont like doing stuff like that.

bahh i thought the guy on SV did a decent jon me ging a Aquaman fan i didnt mind him... shuor AquaBro was dumb but who gives

Fantastic show, I loved it. Well written, well casted, and the action scenes, while cheesy at times, were still better than Smallville's. All in all I can't see why the CW dropped it, but I REALLY REALLY hope that they pick it up again, cause this show rocks my socks.

Alright, I finally saw it, the entire episode, and I understand why CW didnt pick it up. It was a good unique and different story but still followed Smallville's overplayed formula; emoish pop rock music, half naked girls and sex teasing for ratings, reluctant guy moving towards his destiny as opposed to being an actual superhero, secrets and lies between AC and the pilot girl, excessive violence on principal characters every week yet they are fine by the next ep and uneffected etc... I was expecting something a bit different since SV kinda plays this stuff out weekly.

It would be a great replacement for Smallville, but not something that runs with it. I hope CW picks it up next season and Smallville ends this season.

The cast was great with the exception of Denise Quiones. Her acting hasnt impoved from her horrible stint on Smallville. I could see her being a tad annoying in the longrun and I'm hoping shes recasted if the series is picked up.

Adrienne Pallaki has been crowned WB's official ****. She served her purpose though I suppose. Glad shes dead.

The Eva actress was the best female casting decision Gough and Millar ever made and the one young female theyve ever cast that I can actually stand. Her delivery was very Lois Lane-like, and unlike Durance, she wasnt annoying. She played a better Lois than Lois without even trying to. I wish they had used her in Superman films at least.

Ving and Phillips were great.

The lead actor of a WB drama can actually act..what a foreign concept. A.C. was great. Completely opposite to the version of AC depicted on Smallville; which leads me to believe this isnt in the SV universe.

Overall, a solid 7/10. If they change their formula a bit, the series could be great if picked up next season.

Funny, I heard little or no emoish pop rock music, just a cute little tropical song when they first show the present day. They're in Tempest Key, so I really didn't expect everyone to have their shirts on. AC is much different from Clark, also. He's a little more cocky and witty, and obviously, we won't have the "secrets" since he told Eva about his powers. He also doesn't whine as much, and knows his goal is to look for his mother. And without the injuries, they would be no action.

QUESTION?

does any1 hee actualy like Aquaman? or just NOW lieks him cuz of this show cuz there were alto of mistakes! WTF is tempes bay or whatever? its mercy reef! Orange green not the pther way! who the F is EVa or whatever?
that was the worst 40min i spent watching TV atleast who wants to be a superheroe was cool

Its at the end. The Smallville-ish music pops up. After hearing Trust Company in the trailer....I was just expecting something heavy, different than SV.

Or clothes on in the case of A.C. and Adrienne's character.

He didnt tell the Pilot girl (she seems like the main Lana-type love interest) and her trying to figure out his secret sounded like a major plot point that would be dealt with in the series. Tom Curry doesnt know either.

Injuries are fine, but often on Smallville it gets way too ridiculous. I thought Eva getting impaled in the chest and Mc getting stabbed in the leg twice werent great signs.

How many times are Smallville characters near death in the hospital? Like every week. Lanas in near death experences every week. Lex is always shot or badly hurt, knocked out etc. They overdo it to the point it loses believeability and is ridiculous. Especially when the characters seem to be physically and emotionally fine by the next week usually.

Look at the students of Smallville high, they still act like normal carefree teengers after weekly murders in town and school, near death experiences, kryptonite poisoning, weekly freak of the week attacks etc..

I'll illustrate my point, behold the Smallville KO count:

http://www.supermanhomepage.com/tv/tv.php?topic=reviews/smallville-knockout

My point is I'm hoping they don't do the same with Aquaman but key characters getting effed up that badly (espeically Eva) on the first ep doesnt inspire much hope.

I love Aquaman. I've enjoyed his series from Peter David's time right up to the current revamp. While I'd much rather see Orin as the lead, the new guy isn't too bad. Busiek's got a nice mystery going about the new guy's origins and just why he's being pushed into the Aquaman role now. It's working well.

As for the pilot, it was kind of all right but I'm sure I wouldn't watch a whole series based on it. Justin Hartley was decent, but the problem is that he was playing every goddamn surfer-dude environmentalist I've ever heard of. He's clichéd right off the bat, just like the cheesy pop music playing in the background of every scene and the unreasonably hot chicks (I found myself laughing and hoping that they actually had the balls to kill Eva off right in the pilot--no such luck, as it turned out by the end). They're all earmarks of every WB show ever created. On top of that, I have a feeling they're gonna f*** with his powers. At least on Smallville you could say that they're being faithful to the Clark character, if not his actual history, but that's just because he's Superman and everyone already knows his powers. This time it's Aquaman and, as I'm sure some suit or writer must've said in the development stage of this show, "who the f*** really cares about Aquaman?"

The one thing I did find genuinely interesting about the pilot was the central mystery. Atlantis as a place that abducts people from half-a-century ago and then spits them back out not a day older makes for an intriguing twist. I would've liked to see what the resolution to that was. Given all the other crap it was wrapped up in, however, I doubt I would've stuck around long enough to see it even if the show were picked up, so I won't lose any sleep over it.

I just downloaded the Pilot from ITunes and I thought is was awesome. I can't believe the CW didn't want to pick this show up. After seeing this I don't know if I can see Justin playing Ollie now.
I also like the fact that Al and Miles throw some actual history in there as well. With the missing pilots from 60 years ago.
I would like to see how they would have brought Black Manta in to the show.

What I want to know, when's it on the tube?

When zombies rise from the graves and start eating our brains. So never.

Seriously though...maybe mid season?

All I know is Hartley better be sporting some crazy facial hair when he shows up as Ollie on Smallville.
