See the Arad interview thread...already being discussed.

Doubt it will ever happen, though.

Dude, your thread title was so misleading and will not draw many in. This news is potentially HUGE. Venom sells.

I didn't make it...someone else did.

The movie won't be made. But lets imagine it does. Venom sells, but his movie would probably suck (like his minis), and disappoint the fanboys who think he is some mountain of gold that he isn't.

It's never going to happen, anyways. Just wait and see.

If any of that is true, then Spider-Man 4 is going to suck so bad. Carnage is a worse villain than Venom is. And I can't see Raimi agreeing to another shallow symbiote villain again, either.
Carnage is not going to be in Spidey4. He is not meant for a Spidey Film and I don't want him in a Spidey Film.

I hope you're right. After Raimi bleating on about Vulture and Electro for Spider-Man 4, this is right out of left field.

I doubt Carnage is in Spidey 4. Heck, getting him out of the picture might be the only reason making a possible Venom movie would be good.

Lizard I say is in though. That is a safe bet.

Right now it's way too early to believe anything. For all we know, the villains might be Hydroman and the Beetle.

The hype kick around joke villain suggestion for Spidey is The Spot :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

I always quite liked Carnage. He's just witty and fun. He's a bit too simplistic for a movie, though. All he does is kill. That's his only passion.

He's too dark to be put into a movie that will be viewed by little children. Unless they make him a life energy drainer, like in the cartoon, which would be god awful.

Yes, yes, the Spot will be in SM-4 working alongside the primary villain, The Vulture. But the Hydroman and the Beetle will also be working with them, together they will be called the Miserable Four!

Spider-Man will surely have his hands full!

Ah yes, I see Ock still likes Carnage. I remember you posting in the Carnage appreciation thread back in the good old days. I too love Carnage, I know he wont be in a film unless it was Rated R, but just imagine the on-screen havoc.

Yeah, Carnage would probably ruin the Franchise. Especially because alot of parents won't let their Kids see the film because of the violence. After all, Carnage loves to kill people.

Carnage in a Spider-Man movie would be awful. He's waaayyy too simple to be interesting. Same goes for why Venom never should have been in SM-3, and why he will never get his own movie. They may be cool, but they're just not complex characters.

Like sharks. Sharks are pretty badass, but other than seek blood and kill, there's not much to them. So the only way to make a good Venom/Carnage movie is to make it like Jaws, and have someone hunting Venom/Carnage, and only show Venom/Carnage at the very end. And then all the fanboys would b*tch about how Venom/Carnage should have been in it more. So it's a lose-lose situation.

Edit: That said, a Spider-Man 4 with a Jaws type storyline would be kind of cool.

It's a wonderful news, especially for Venoms fans I suppose. Let's see how it comes about.

You know you should really give movie a chance before you assume on anything. In every one of your post you talk about how Venom is shallow but never back it up. Just because villains such as GG, Ock, Electro, or Vulture are classic, itdoesn't make them any more human than any newer villains. Now I agree about inclusion of Carnage though in Spidey 4, but hey maybe they could whip up another story for him just like they did with Sandy.

Carnage in the Venom spin-off would be badass, because you could have a scene where as they're fighting their symbiotes begin attaching themselves to each other, trying to morph into one.

I want Lizard and Kraven in SM4 though. Not Carnage.

That sounds better
