a friend gave me a tape of an albums of theirs but i don't have a tape deck, so am not familiar with them.

Well, I got the download in my e-mail last night from pre-ordering (not sure if it's been released in stores as of yet), and I've really enjoyed what I've listened to thus far.

Just got this yesterday, bit long, but I dig it. Modern Man somewhat infuriates me though, the guitar part in the background sounds like its either skipping or on a really short loop. It has this like downward progression and you expect it to keep going but then it jumps back up and its like GAH! but seriously overall i'm really liking this album. good themes to the lyrics. I will post again when I'm not sleep deprived.

I listen to Kid Cudi as well..A lil bit of Marvin Gaye...Black Keys...Raconteurs...The Bird and The Bee...John Mayer...The Walkmen...The Fray...The Killers...Wolfmother...Radiohead...Kanye West hahaha tooooo much I know.
(#1)The White Stripes, Dead Weather, Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Cudi, and The Walkmen being my absolute favorites though

But besides that...Dang this cd was really peaceful..I found a couple songs in particular having different sounds to them such as a 70's feel to and 80's and a 90's
A bunch of retro mixed with new sounds...another amazing album and worth the buy! 8.5/10
refreshing is the word that comes to mind.
