Not a showcase presents tpb for Archie...although that wouldn`t be too bad. An archive tpb would prob be better though. Anyway..
I thought I would present the details on an archie superhero character/team, see how people respond and see what people think DC`s creative teams need change. Just so us fans know where we stand on all our opinions.

I like him personally. A cursed superhero. Always a nice motif. The costume is quite workable too, not perfect but miles better than say the comet`s costume.lol.
His foes are a bit hit and miss to be fair.
Villains:
Blackbeard. Jackson Carr, hosts games for the idle rich. He also commits crime as Black Beard the pirate. Okay but pirate villains (lol) and ones named Blackbeard at that (lmao) hardly original, prob won`t see this one return.
A.Bookworm. He carries trick books to help him in his crimes. The some books have blinding gas, some have poison pages, and some exploded.. I could maybe see this one return. He would be to The Black Hood what the Penguin is to Batman. But then agains he is essentially a librarian with knock-out gas. Hardly a compelling villain.
Crow (Paganini). Pagini was once one of opera’s greatest talents. When his voice is compared to the sound a crow makes. He starts wearing a crow costume and killing off his rivals. Ridiculous. But with heavy overhaul could work as DC`s version of the Vulture.
The Gourmet. Villian who uses his cooking skills for crime. Chef BoyDeadly? Fail.
Markov. A French criminal in America for the duration starts his own crime college. Could work. Seems to dull to bother with though.
The Mist. Can`t find info but the name has potential.
Needlenoodle. Pfft. Stupid name. Prob a stupid villain.
The Skull. This malevolent mastermind was on a crime wave the cops couldn’t stop and even managed to frame one of their own: Kip Burland which led the officer to becoming the Black Hood in order to stop him. He has green skin, and death’s head face, wears a black suit and a flowing opera cape. Potential for a good foe. I prefer the lok of the second Skull though.
The Skull II. The son of the original Skull, who comes after the Black Hood for sending his father to his death. Quite cool.

From Wikipedia...
The Black Hood was originally a golden age character created by MLJ Comics, later known as Archie Comics. The Black Hood first appeared in Top Notch Comics #9, October 1940 and became one of MLJ's most popular characters. He also had his own title, Black Hood Comics, a pulp magazine, and his own radio show.
The Black Hood focused on the adventures of a series of vigilante characters with the same name throughout history. Each Black Hood character would somehow come in possession of a black hood and when the character wore the hood, he or she was given heightened awareness, and increased strength, speed, and agility. The hood caused each of its wearers to become a vigilante and fight injustice. An interesting feature of the hood was what appeared to be a curse. After a certain period of time, each wearer of the black hood would meet an untimely death. After the death of the Black Hood, the hood would find its way into the hands of another individual with the potential to become the next Black Hood.
The titular black hood was originally an executioner's mask. As a witch was being executed for the crime of witchcraft, she cursed not the executioner, but his hood. From that point on, whoever wore the hood would be compelled to "do only good".
In his first incarnation, the Black Hood was a costumed man of mystery who had been trained by a hermit to fight. He possessed no superpowers, but came from a family of crime fighters. His real name was Matthew Kipling "Kip" Burland, an ex-cop who had been framed for grand larceny by a villain known as The Skull.[1] Burland eventually cleared his name, but continued to wear the costume. The Black Hood is not the only man of mystery whose secret identity is a police officer. Other superheroes who were also cops included Charlton's Blue Beetle and DC's Guardian.
The Black Hood enjoyed popularity for a while until he dropped from the covers and was gradually replaced by funny animal characters, as the popularity of the superhero genre faded in the late 1940s.
