Ash Williams famous lines from Army of Darkness are being stolen by other characters, it started with Duke Nukem 3D, he toke "Hail to the King Baby" and made it his.
Now "groovy" is being taken by Charles Xavier from X-Men: First Class

Duke Nukem was always been a ripoff of Ash. That's a fact. it's not even an homage either.

But 'groovy'? Its not like he invented the word. ou must be kidding me.

Kind of hard to make an argument out of one example.

it's not like Xavier was saying JUST "groovy......" he was using it in a sentence like "you have a mutation.....a groovy mutation." and in case you didn't realize "groovy" was used a LOT in the 60's.

btw, some of Ash's other lines have yet to be used like "gimme some sugar baby!" or "this is my boomstick!"

I do say "boomstick" a lot. That's a pretty catchy way to name a shotgun. Or any gun, for that matter.

This is a lame topic.
It is suposed to be, i can't believe that you guys jump to this thread like that thinking it wasn't more of a pass the time don't take it seriously thread.
Have fun:woot:

If "groovy" was stolen, Xavier wouldn't even be alive.

When you state that you think "groovy" originated in Army of Darkness, people are going to think your points are pretty stupid.
