dude shes only 4-5 years younger than him, and once your out of high school age in a realashionship really does not matter.

and how does clairs parents being dead effect her from being realated in some way to peter.

peters dad, had an affair with clairs mom, thus resulting in a love child, or mistake. and than clairs mom died, and shes left alone.

Actually Peter is 30 and Claire is 17 so thats more then 4-5 years. Plus in an interview they had said that there wasnt going to be a romantic relationship between them. There relationship was going to be more like big brother watching out for little sister.

I wont say it impossible for them to be related by father, you never know. After all they hinted that Papa Petrelli may have had superpowers.

Sylar could be Claires father though, Bennet said something like her parents didn't agree with his methods and there was a death. Maybe Claires mother was killed and Sylar got away, leaving Claire with Bennet. Sylar must not know that Claire is her daughter because if he knew he probly would not try to kill her. He would definitely kill Bennet though.

I dont remember what interview it was but Im almost certain that when the interviewer asked Milo V.(Peter) said that there wasnt going to be a romance between Claire and Peter because of the age difference of their characters.

Not a big deal and I don't think we have a firm grasp on Claire's age. There was definatley something there though.

Ohh well they didnt actually say that he had superpowers but its the fact that Nathan says Peter is beginning to act just like their father not too long before his several suicide attempts, that brings up the theory that Papa petrelli may have had superpowers. Nathan made mention of the delusions of granduer and so forth.

The writer's have left themselves a lot of leeway when it comes to Clair's birthparents. The web of connections is only going to grow and become more convoluted as the series progresses.

As for Claire and Peter I think she might develop a little schoolgirl crush on Peter but don't forget that Peter is madly; passionately; hopelessly (emphasis on hopelessly) in love with Simone.

I wonder if he is adopted. It does seem as if he and Nathan cant have come from the same gene pool. But then again its not uncommon for siblings to be polar opposites of each other
