Given that Watergate did happen, and Operation Northwoods was planned, we know that huge conspiracies do happen.

We also know there are endless fantastic ideas that the British royal family control the illegal drug trade and that George Bush is a clone of his father.

In which case, are there any conspiracies which you believe may have any ring of truth to them?

Kennedy Assassination
Bay of Pigs
MENA
Iran Contra Affair
Any number of things going on in Russia
...this isn't really a comprehensive list, I can think of more and then a whole bunch of mini-scandals and mini-conspiracies.

Area 51
The Magic Bullet
"I did not have sex with that woman"

aliens are abducting farms by the hundreds and never buying them breakfast the next day.

"Who killed the electric car"
"Super-size me"
Bush went to war for revenge
Bush went to war to hide problems in America

There are countless believable theories, because there are countless instances of 2 or more people planning to do something in secret.

When Bush lied, that one Thanksgiving, and instead of visiting his family, he went to serve turkey for Iraqi photo ops? That was a conspiracy.
And a few reporters thought something was fishy because he never arrived at the homestead where they were camped, there was also some weird altering of procedure, so they had theories when they saw all of these anomalies.

The outlandish ones are more fun to talk about, and by their sensationalistic nature, they're the only ones that really blip on the average person's mind.

But there are tons of mundane, quite boring theories that are completely believable. You can even see hints of them on PBS's Frontline, and Bill Moyers has followed many...any kind of investigative journalist has touched on plenty.

It's enough to fill thousands of lengthy books, thousands of web pages. If you're interested, do some research.

J to the C not being the son of G to the D
The real conspiracy is that council that got together a few hundred years after Christ died and decided that the word "Son of God" in reference to Jesus literally meant Son of God when it had not carried that meaning before.

oh really?:ninja:

That Jack the Ripper could've been Prince Albert. Not saying that it's true - I high doubt it myself - but it's pretty believable.

Denver International Airport
You think the part about the vast underground complex where several species of aliens are making bizarre hybrids and had a laser shoot-out with US gov't. agents is "believable"?

White text is awesome.

I believe in a lot of things...the life I've lived, the things I've done...the things I've seen...

I use to dream about them at night...that's one of the reasons I stopped sleeping back in '83
