If your answer is 'no', I'd like to see your nominations in the comments, and photos for comparison would be great.

well...they're not really superheroes so i can't view them as such

the two quicksilver costumes are worse imo if those are considered superhero costumes

No doubt. Trank is clearly embarrassed by both the FF and the superhero genre. FFINO is a huge step in the wrong direction for fans of comic book movies.

It's not even a superhero movie so this question is moot.

My suggestion would be to not overanalzye or over think about this movie because it will only make you more depressed. Life is too short to worry about such stuff. Cheer up :yay:

You're probably right. I keep thinking the next trailer will show us something much better. I mean it has to, right? But maybe I should just resign myself to what all the interviews, photos and trailer are telling me. This isn't going to be Fantastic Four. Just a bunch of Sulky 20-somethings dealing with disabilities.

I mean these photos just released are promotional images intended to put their best foot forward in Empire Magazine. If these carefully selected images are the best they can find, what does the rest of the film look like?

Probably time to just face facts and give up.

Yep, not a superhero movie.

FOX doesn't believe in 'Super Heroes' - they believe in tortured souls set apart from society by their unique and scary appearance, powers and abilities.

Only Johnny has a 4 insignia anywhere.

Say what you will about the X-Men wearing matching uniforms or Thor missing a helmet, you could at least look at the OT X-Men and see an X with a circle insignia and Thor is a big guy with a hammer. These are the first CBM costumes to not resemble the source material AT ALL. You can still look at an image of Thor or the X-Men and still instantly recognize the character. You can't do that here.

Daredevil comes close but it's still recognizable as the costume from The Man Without Fear. These are simply the worst costumes I've seen since Bat-Nipples or Steel.

But... those were both 18 years ago. So these costumes missed the cut-off date by all of two years. They're still the worst I've seen in the past 15 if that's any consolation to you.

I like Johnny's costume a lot.

The other two I can't really see enough of to have an opinion.

yes. and the costume departement should cower in shame in some dark corner

It's hard to tell if the costumes are worst or not than the terrible Halle Berry Catwoman costume, but we are in the same dark area.

Johnny and Reed suits are expecially god-awful

The two that came to my mind were Bat-Nipples and Catwoman, but I looked at both of them:

And decided they looked okay in comparison. At least they're both somewhat recognizable and seem to fit the characters. I think those costumes in better films could have worked reasonably well.

And in the case of the FF, if they all had designs similar to Johnny's, I think I'd be able to stomach it a little more, but Reed's is just terrible and the lack of uniformity takes away the whole concept of them being a team.

I would be okay if they weren't blue as long as they were consistent and looked more like Johnny's. It wouldn't be what I would choose, but they wouldn't be the worst in 20 years under those circumstances.

The problem with Reed costume is that it remind me of another Marvel character... The silly straps from the containment suit that is supposed to allow him to only stretch in one direction remind me a lot of "good" old Wilbur Day and his silly hydraulic legs (and arms) !

remove the helmet from the Stilt-man costume, and you have a suit that look way more the Miles Teller one than the fantastic four uniform from the comics :csad:

I am the only one who see that ? ( tell me if I am mad )

Ten times better than the costumes from the previous films.
Especially given the rumored functions.
Ten times better, for one shouldn't just accomplishment by how much it nails what came before or what's in but rather in and off itself.

It's why people don't measure the new batman costume by the adam west(what came before) standard. What came before may very well suck in the grande scheme.

I bet once we see how the suits perform their function to help with adjusting to their abilities, people will become more comfortable with seeing them.

Right now it just looks like they aren't wearing their costumes.

I doubt this is like Rob Liefeld and his costume of a thousand pouches that do nothing.

Hm, what would I say are worse...

The Daredevil movie costume.

The Daredevil TV costume.

Falcon's costume from TWS.

All of Batman and Robin's costumes.

Green Lantern's costume - not so much in concept, but rather the execution was terrible.

Catwoman's from the 2004 movie.

Shaq's Steel costume.

Original Judge Dredd.

Yeah, those are probably the worst to me.

Its tough to say if they are the worst ever, since all the pics so far are so !@#$ing dark you can't clearly make out their features. So far, though, they definitely are competitive for "most bland, uncommunicative, uniconic costumes ever". Even the original X-Men costumes had a *little* more style to them ( and I generally think they sucked ). The only real question is, are there costumes that go beyond "bland" into being distinctly and notably *bad*. I could see the Halle Berry Catwoman outfit qualifying; arguably also the Green Lantern "outfit".

You know, on consideration, let me offer this as a comparison:

Realistic and grounded, yes. Not a super team. And yet, would anyone argue that the outfits are more visibly distinct, interesting, and iconic than what we've got from the FF so far?

Reed is literally wearing a trash bag.
Fant4stic!

 That's what I always thought. Blue flight-suits would be very realistic and look way better than these 'containment suits'.

Would've been nice to see an attempt at paying homage to the original outfits, but these are just very bland.
