I know a lot of people will buy all the movies of a trilogy or set of movies whether it be movies associated by story or by a particular filmmaker or actor, despite the fact that some of the entries are complete crap even to them.
For example, I liked the first two Matrix movies in declining order, but I still bought the third one to complete the trilogy. I also recently bought all of the Superman movies, even though I don't like the third one and downright hate the fourth one.
I have all the Indy movies (no other way around that, but had I a choice, I would have bought them all seperately) and all of the original Star Wars movies. But I only own Revenge of the Sith and have no plans to buy the first two in the prequel trilogy.
But I haven't bought Rambo III nor the odd-numbered Star Trek movies, etc.
I am a fan of Mann, Coen Brothers, and Spielberg, and own most of their movies, but there are some I will NEVER buy.
I guess I would be a completist on a very liberal scale.
