If so then I need your mastery of all things porkified. I bought a pack of pork chops awhile back and the sell by date was the 19th and it is now the 27th. I did not freeze these chops but they have been marinating in a Ziploc back with delicious seasonings.

So if I cook these up for dinner tomorrow night what is the likelihood I will get sick?

If I will get sick, how sick are we talking here?

Seems like a shame to let them go to waste right? I mean starving children in Africa and all...

Also, what is the easiest way for me to make my own bacon without having to subject myself to the weak ass bacon most groceries have in stock?
 
This thread title is quite misleading.
 
I recommend going to a farmers market or comparable place for awesome bacon.

As for the pork chops, usually smell is the way to go.

But without Candian bacon there would be no Egg McMuffin which is delightful. I had one this very morning. I thought it was Candian law decreed by the Queen long ago that the only bacon be Candian bacon and all other pork product must be sold to the Americans. :huh:

The Crown is taking the long view when it comes to getting back the colonies. Fatten them up and let arterial sclerosis do the job for them.
 
The crown tends to forget Maple Syrup empowers us.
 
That reminds me, bacon + syrup = delicious awesomeness. I'm sure this recipe works for maple syrup but I can't afford those luxuries currently.
 
I'll take my ridiculously expensive and broken health care system over Candian bacon any day of the week. I will occasionally have an Egg McMuffin though if the mood strikes me. Now that Mickey D's does the breakfast all day thing. Funny enough, the only 2 times I've had their breakfast since they started that was during normal breakfast hours. I do wonder though, can I now get a double quarter pounder with cheese and bacon at 10 am?
 
Meanwhile the Russians have figured out the maple vodka technology and we are sitting over here acting like that isn't a game changer.
 
I've definitely not a pork expert. I still get the giggles when I hear the term "pulled pork"
 
They have an awesome pulled pork sandwich at FOOL'S GOLD in lower Manhattan. It's got cucumbers and jalepenos and a sweet sauce. So good. If anyone is in Manhattan I recommend going and trying out the food during the afternoon.
