Are you more forgiving of the show's quality simply because it's Spider-Man?

because you are a spidey fan (if you are a spidey fan)?

I think he means to ask if people are more willing to overlook a relative lack of quality on a Spider-Man project, simply because they're a fan of the character; be more forgiving of flaws because they're glad it's Spidey.

I think.
If not, then yeah ...WTF?

I'm not more forgiving. I won't accept anything just because it's spider-man.
I hated sins past, hated omd, hated the clone saga, hated the ultimate spider-man cartoon, hated the spider-man movies.

Maybe I should have thought to answer the question before.

No, I'm not more forgiving because I'm a Spidey fan. Crap is crap, doesn't matter what character it's centered around.

I thought he meant do we forgive depsite his angst teen flaws or something....

Oh, if that's what he meant, no. Seriously, how can anyone ask this question with all the b:tchin' that Spider-Man fans do?

This thread is as confusing as a Michael Jackson's gender.

if anything we are probably more harsh as a whole....

no one really cared too much about what they did with elektra or ghost rider, even fantastic four gets by easier.

That is true. Spider-Man is a bigger character, he's a signature, has more fans and to most is so endeering that it's so annoying to see what is essentially such an easy concept to produce be in the opinion of some to be reduced into something so badly handled.

Definitely not!

I've dropped the Spider-Man comics because of the nonsense they're doing in them. And I didn't much care for Spider-Man 3, either.

We're not even sure of what this thread is all about, but thanks for sharing J. :oldrazz:

for instance I was very tolerant of spidey 3 if it were another superhero rather than my favorite superhero I probably would have left the cinema half way through.

Its like spectatular I was moaning about 'the batman' art style but I find myself all but overlooking the art style of SSM

Nope.

I decided to read OMD hoping that Peter would get his identity back and he did...but what we got was worse. Not reading that crap again :o I love Spectacular Spider-Man because it stays close to the originals while changing some things ( I'm willing to overlook Montana as Shocker if it's good...if not.... : / ) Spider-Man 3 is still good IMO. Not incredible like I first watched it but still okay. I notice the flaws but I still enjoy watching it,too.

I hope Avi gets assassinated. :) along with Quesada.

You know a year ago, regardless of my complete denial of Sins Past and the 90's series (post season 1) I might've still said yes to this question. But now here I sit; I can't read 616 Spidey anymore thanks to One More Day, and SM3 pretty much killed the entire trilogy for me.

But Spectacular has given me some hope. The first 3 episodes alone are the best thing to happen to Spidey fans in a long time. Reminded my why I became a fan in the first place. Hell, I'm even optimistic about the Shocker episode despite using Montana instead of Schultz. Hope they keep up the good work.

:spidey:

What?

Or that hideous Spider-Man Unlimited show.

There. Fixed the title.

thanks man but I meant spidey in general so that's comics, cartoons and the movie.

I think I am if I'm honest I watched the entire mtv and unlimited series and they were terrible.

Now, don't we all feel better when we share our feelings and tell the truth. Don't you feel all warm and squishy inside. This evening, I'm making some JELL-O, you like JELL-O, good, I feel like sharing some with you...name your flavor?

Sincerely,
Mr. Rogers

I hate the comics, hated the third movie, the MTV series and Spider-Man Unlimited. I was skeptical of this show when I saw the kindergarten-esque designs. I am still not impressed by the design of the show, HOWEVER...

The writing, the voice acting, everything else (so far) is flawless, and more than compensate for the kiddy design quality.
