Now THIS should be a far more even competition, with 3 games(and an upcoming one later this year) on Arkham Batman's side and 3 movies on Nolanverse Batman's side. Which interpretation of the character and his world did you like better?

What is with you making all these comparison and rating threads to Nolan's movies?

Three. You made one rating the TDK trilogy, too. You seem to be on some kind of rating/comparison buzz with them.

Two of them are silly. Comparing a cartoon show and video games to movies.

What the heck, mate. They weren't bothering you until now. Weren't you the same guy supporting me back in the BTAS vs Nolanverse thread?

Story, characterization, etc - Nolanverse

Suits, Gotham - Arkhamverse

It's not bothering me. It's just an observation. I was wondering why.

Story, characters, pretty much everything: Nolan.

I like the Arkhamverse. But have you seen the latest trailer for Arkham Knight? It is heavily based on the Nolan verse, as well as TAS, and Burton films to a lesser extent. Nolan left a more unique impression on the character.

Arkhamverse is cool but can get too over the top.

Well I recently rewatched Batman Begins after all these years and it made me think of how different and distinct it was to the other two films, especially TDK. I really enjoyed it but they almost feel like stand alone movies when compared to each other. That was my motive for the "Best to worst of the TDK trilogy" thread, not to mention everyone treats Begins like the forgotten movie of the Trilogy.

As for BTAS and the Arkhamverse one, they're easily my favourite versions of Batman yet along with the Nolan films(which I also loved, except for TDKR)so I really wanted to see what you'd guys would say about how the TDK trilogy compared to those 2.

I don't know about characters, but story-wise I have to agree. I notice that too, with the Arkham series becoming more and more like the Nolanverse - I don't like it, I preferred it to be more distinct like the first two games. Batman looked like more like Bat-ironman in that trailer, and I thought the Arkham Origins costume also looked too bulky and Nolan-esque.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are pretty much perfect renditions of Batman's world IMO. Love the design of the villains. Like a much darker, more gritty version of Tim Burton's movies and BTAS.

It's like the BTAS, Tim Burton's movies and the Nolan movies put together in one

Yeah, the stuff that Nolan did best. Two-Face's look is definitely Nolan-inspired. The more high-tech Batman gadgets. Some of Joker's look. Maybe a couple of other homages here and there.

It appeared to be inspired a lot by the comics as well.

Story and characters--Nolan, no doubt

Arkham is head and shoulders above the other Batman media out there, though. Comics and cartoon included. But comparing a videogame to a movie...is almost as silly as trying to compare Assassin's Creed to Game of Thrones (the HBO series, not the books).

BTAS >>> Burton > Arkham >>> Nolan

Yeah, I'm a hipster. :o

I like all of them but Nolan simply doesn't capture what I love about Batman like the others.

Blame it on the nostalgia if you have to.

I love Nolan's ultra realism of Batman but for me nothing tops Arkham I've completed all of them multiple times sometimes just to enjoy the cut-scenes.

Arkham Rules !!!

I gotta vote in this one. Not say Rocksteady's Arkhamverse is bad I love their Bat games as well. Nolan did very well with Harvey Two-Face character well mostly Dent so that's big vote I had to flip a coin!

Nolan's stories were better. But i prefer the Arkhamverse visually and in tone

Emphasis on visuals. It looked like Tim Burton's Gotham City, which was the best look ever! It looked (in the words of Mark Hamill) decayed, gothic and vile, nothing like New York or Chicago at all. That was a problem I had with the Nolanverse Gotham, it looked different in every movie.

I agree 100%.

Going with Arkham. They gave us the better Batman.
