Arnold Is Back for Terminator 5

I can't believe there's so much buzz about a franchise that should have died two movies ago.

My excitement comes from the prospect of getting the original group of guys back together and the fact that Justin Lin is involved. I am assuming if old Reese and Sarah are alive that something ala Star Trek happens to alter the timeline. In all honesty it'd take an amazing feat to get this series back to respectability. Lets hope they are up to the task.

Did you see how stiff he was in T3? That was like 8 years ago. This francise has played out. They really need to leave it alone because it only gets worse.

Another Terminator film is going to happen one way or another. I think if it is going to happen this is a much better angle to take than Salvation (which could have worked0. And if they really have a a 2 movie plot worked out to finish the saga once and for all, I am game.

Maybe that's it? They don't think it can possibly get worse, so there's nowhere to go but up? I don't know.

T3 was embrassingly stupid. And while I had hopes for T4, I should have known better.

Also, reading that screenwriter's comments above... I can understand why the guy was angry with how T3 and T4 turned out, but that doesn't make him come off like any less of a *****e. And I really don't think his original ideas for either of those films sounded that great either. I think it's a bit of a cop-out to say that you "found" that John wasn't an interesting character. No... maybe he wasn't an interesting character because you couldn't figure out how to write him as one. I think that says more about your skills as a writer than it does about the character himself. Batman can be a boring character in the wrong hands. So can Superman. Darth Vader. Whoever. But in the right hands, all of these characters can be brilliant.

Terminator Salvation had everything going for it but the script and the director.

yup loss opportunity, that we won't get back. Here's to hoping That the final Terminator film is kind of a similar plot to the 3d show. With them going to the future.

If the LR source is not BS'ing then the news would be very good indeed. I would assume they'll do a tron legacy/ Terminator Salvation type de-ageing thing however , I think a new John Connor is a must. I like Bale as Bruce Wayne but John Connor...not so much. Edward Furlong is a non starter and I doubt they'd go with Nick Stahl again so...

On the terminator fan sites. They listed Jim Caviesel as someone they would want to play John Connor.

Caviezel looks his age now. If it is taking place during 2012 than Connor should be like 28 yeah?

you can't believe people have different opinions than you??,Not everybody hates 3&Salvation.

In T1 the T-800 gets his clothing from some punks

in T2 he gets his gear from a bikey

imo T3 was just a redo of what ever was cool in T2, it never tried to be fresh.

So how would you design a T-800 if ROTM never existed.

^^ Like Agent 47? Ummm....usually I'd say no, but if they can find the right look, it might work.

I wonder what cannon Is this going to be.Are they Ignoring T3 and Salvation? Are they
making an actual t5.

Personaly I wouldn't mind a film that Is canon to first 2 films and The Sarah Connor Chronicles. But that won't happen.

Lots of buzz on the next TERMINATOR SEQUEL now of late. We know for a fact that JUSTIN LIN is set to direct and that ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER is attached. Rumors wise, VIN DIESEL'S name has been thrown around (we comment on that here) and now today we're hearing that T5 is going under the working title of TERMINATOR 2012, it will take place in the present and doesn't just have SCHWARZENEGGER attached to it, but the entire original cast as well.
Hmmm... that last one sounded too good to be true to us... so we reached out to MICHAEL BIEHN (who of course played KYLE REESE in the original THE TERMINATOR ) to ask wassup with that and here's his statement: "I don't know anything about it". Do with that what you will; but in my opinion, dude is not playing possum, hence this rumor is just that, a rumor. With that spat... I could be wrong (doubt it) and it would be a trip to see Biehn back in a TERMINATOR movie! So if it's not done yet, get it done!

Great. Glad it's just a rumor now.

so because an actor said '' i dont know anything '' its now a rumor?

its f... Latino Review.

So they are forgetting about T3 or at least Salvation!?,T3 was also set in the present day But the original cast would mean this taking place after T2!!

The original cast could mean anything. Linda Hamilton lent her voice to Terminator Salvation, but did the movie completely ignore T3? Nope.

The ideas presented here don't make a lick of sense. An older Kyle Reese? yeah, right. So now we're going back in time again to 2012. We ain't ever gonna see 2029. :(

I know, it's unreal. The 2029 story has been set for 27 years now and we'll never see it. "The future is not set", indeed.

Bringing back the original cast sounds like some terrible alternate reality idea. Maybe the war never happened and 26 year old John is living with his parents, Sarah & Kyle and playing Missile Command in the basement.
