House of Cards is REALLY not the best example to use since the whole point of that show is that power corrupts. It's played up as a BAD thing, whereas this show keeps sweeping Laurel's actions under the rug (she suffers no consequences for them) and then hopes that the audience will just forget about them.

It really needs to eventually bite her in the ass. The second time she actually outright blackmailed someone, didn't the person tell her to be careful, because not everyone might back off as easily? She needs to stop working as a Lawyer, and do something more convincingly. Because she just can't pull off big shot Lawyer.

That's the writer's fault still. they always think we won't notice that stuff. cause they think we'll just accept it or we're like the couples shippers. who's mind's are on another planet cause that's all that part of the audience cares about . With the many faults with it all in the show .

But yeah she'll have to quit eventually.

One thing that bothers me, did Lawton start his career as Deadshot with the Hive assignment? So Andrew Diggle basically was his first contract kill.

Why does it bother you? Does it contradict something we were told before?

Incidentally, I too don't think Lawton is dead yet. Especially not if the show plans to pursue the HIVE storyline next season. He's far too connected to the Diggle-HIVE subplot for that to happen.

Rather, I like to believe that Lawton was being the cunning SOB he's supposed to be and faked his death; seeing it as an opportunity of getting out of the Suicide Squad. After all, the members of Task Force X aren't there by choice.

I agree with you and Zenith. To be honest, and I've said this many times, they screwed her character up making her a prosecutor and taking her out of the legal aid office. She was written so much better as a crusader who was constantly fighting the good fight against the odds. Instead they took the lazy black and white direction and made her a ADA because that position "seeks out justice." But it really just serves as a vehicle to spotlight her hypocrisy when she falsifies evidence and engages in extortion.

By the way, this was probably the best episode of the season but it had some strangely laughable direction. The low points being the worst acted press conference in history. I mean I know Routh and Cassidy aren't Daniel Day Lewis, but they aren't that bad usually either. The other lowest point has to be the HIVE lady. That was cringe worthy. I felt ashamed for the actress.

I think my favourite part was ending an episode with the whole "once you let the darkness in, it never gets out" thing...then completely abandoning this concept and trying to make her a hero 2 episodes later.

the arrow, roy atom scene, roy gets rapped and knocked out, arrow wins the fight and the high moral ground usually the best time to walk away dramatically, but what about roy, felt a bit sorry for him.

shooting the mayor makes ra and the league look like loons, its beyond manipulative its irrational. Should try and get them to stick to a code, has its own kind of menace.

I don't know. It just feels lazy I guess. I was assuming that Lawton had made a name for himself for years. Instead of just being a soldier that came home from the war, suffers from PTSD, gets locked up because he threatened his wife, and then right after gets hired by and organization to kill a guy, that apparently knows too much. With all the mercs in the biz, they approach the guy that just got a restraining order from his wife, and hasn't done anything even resembling mercenary work since he got back from the war.

Or when they showed that Sara isn't beyond redemption like she believed, after she saved a kid, and you think a redemption arc is coming. Nope! Straight back to the league. There are a number of Episodes in Arrow, where you think this is going to lead to something much bigger down the line, only for it to get completely abandoned. Just like they made a big deal out of Laurel getting trained by Wildcat, and it's all been utterly wasted. Seriously, completely remove Ted Grant from the show, and nothing would have changed. It's not like Laurel would suck any more in a fight. Heck, she was more capable before she took fighting lessons from Wildcat.

Just watched the episode. Man, lately I have been having such a strong love/hate relationship with this show. Its more love than hate but I've been noticing a trend with most of the episodes this season. It'll have an intriguing beginning, some seriously groan inducing character developments and motivations, then a really cool action sequence, then more groan inducing, grossly out-of-character moments...followed by an awesome cliffhanger to make me want to watch the next episode. The inconsistency is starting to get to me and I wish the Arrow writers would just take some xanex and calm down a little and focus.

Man, Ray was REALLY hard to like in this episode. He was written so bad you could even tell Brandon Routh felt uncomfortable acting the way he did. There is no way he would have acted the way he did in this episode given how his character has been portrayed ALL season. It was really starting to annoy me until that KICK ASS fight scene between him and Ollie which almost made up for the horrible character deviation. Ultimately, I'm glad Ray is back to normal now and hopefully he continues to act like himself.

I dont mean to sound harsh cause I still feel this show is a kick-ass show but man, the writers REALLY need to get it together. I think next season is going to be a fresh start for the series and will give us a fresh new direction which I think at this point is sorely needed.

I think Maseo will die now. It either by Ra's or Oliver unforuntately or maybe his ex wife too.

I think there is a serious problem with SCPD believing the arrow will kill again for no reason based on the word of a criminal

I think he has to die as he's actively the one framing Ollie now, not just the messenger and Katana surely has to play into it. My guess is he turns against Ra's and dies attempting to redeem himself.

The 8 bodies with arrows in them are also pretty compelling evidence to support the stories.

this is what's bothering me oliver caught one of the imposters in that ware house where Ray found out his identity. All Oliver had to do was send that imposter to the cops or better yet have Laurel come with cops to pick the imposter up, so captain Lance has nothing to argue against / about.

So why didn't Oliver do that? this better not be that crap Malcolm told him ether. "no prison can hold us" cause he should be pimp slapped silly if that was the case. Another bad chose a costly one at that.

If he did what he did with Roy & just walked off with just that arrow from the imposter......

He should just take Malcolm to Central City and put him in the particle accelerator prison.

Malcolm may be but I was talking about the the imposter he found which is now two nights ago when ray scanned his face. that was the evidence to get captain lance off his case since it's the imposters killing people ad there more seriously if Oliver let that guy go while he was knocked out cold ?.... when he's evidence for the cops & Laurel

His chose's are so bad this season I tell ya

Actually, after he fights those guys, Maseo comes in to tell him something and vanishes in a literal puff of smoke with the imposters.

I hope Deadshot is not dead. As long as the body is not found there is hope I guess.

With comic book properties, it's not always a given that a particular character is positively dead. Even the old saying "No-one stays dead in the comics except Bucky Barnes" doesn't apply anymore.

ugh it cause he didn't call diggle to bring that van of theirs. so they can hold that guy. so they can call Laural in her day job side with cops. He shouldn't have let that guy go after seeing that & catching him . Even if Maseo was a friend.

here's what happened:

1. Arrow imposters from the LOA start killing drug dealers
2. Ollie stops one and immediately a slew of em arrive
3. A brief battle ensued after which Maseo comes back
4. A 5 second conversation between Ollie and Maseo happens before Maseo vanishes with the assassins

I don't think Ollie had time to even alert Diggle during what, 2 minutes. And Laurel couldn't get the cops in such a short amount of time haha.

Yeah now I remember. Thanks. I was on the phone with my other sister & only remembered Maeso saying "Ras gets what he wants" with the smoke bomb after that.

So I didn't remember or take notice he took imposter Oliver captured. But he should always have Diggle & Roy with him ready with that van of theirs should be do the solo thing seeing how he was ambushed in the alleyway the first time with the league.
All before he went to Nanda Parbat & was stabbed fell off the cliff . He just shouldn't be s little bit smarter about it seeing he's out skilled out numberedmost of the time , but he puts him self bad situations here he's out numbered with them. Stop going alone.

This episode is now a little worse to me given the fact that it has been confirmed that the SS story was just to kill off Deadshot and the SS because Warner Brothers and DC made them.

This episode was fantastic! From start to finish. I loved the wedding scene and the humor that was thrown around this whole episode. I agree that it might just be the best so far. And that ending...aw man I can't wait for the next episode. Roy getting washed by Ray and Ollie just walking away after that was funny to me.

But yeah if the rest of the season can keep up this level of intensity and writing it can make up for everything as a whole. Oh and where's Malcolm Merlyn?

If only Maseo was allowed to off Felicity this would've been a much better show. sigh

Good episode. Deadshot was great, Atom was entertaining and that fight scene with copycats was just beautiful. But the way Ollie just up and left mah boy Arsenal without checking on him is just beyond f up.
