Dean Sam and Cas of course :yay:
The point was however, even there you'll see shipping of some sort, the type that keeps all the droves of women at their fan events cheering. It might be different if Supernatural was an HBO production imo.

That has less to do with TheCw forcing them to have love triangles nowadays and more to do with the writers. MG has made no secret that that he loves overthetop dramatics and thinks it's good.

Shippers are everywhere, no matter the channel, but of course the CW is more prominent due to the age they cater to. But Supernatural makes fun of them and it doesn't affect the show

It still stands to reason that the CW's shows by enlarge have this particular element. If you are going to walk into their offices right now and pitch a show about angels, it's likely going to need some kinda dawsons creek dramatics with the love interest and what not for their established audience to be catered too. A DD show on cw would most likely have this.

CW had Nikita(of all things) and they did it. This beauty and the best show. Tomorrow People(though it was MG). It's what they're about. And it's served them well.

There was a superman show on the cw and lo and behold it's was pretty much that incarnate.
    Just saying.

Nikita didn't have love triangles but it did have some very forced lovey dovey drama especially in season 2 and 3. The thing with Nikita though is that it was purposely shoehorned in to try to increase ratings. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a FANTASTIC show from beginning to end (it's only 4 seasons long and season 4 is 6 episodes), but I think it was a little too gritty and serious for the CW and therefore it suffered in the ratings. The show almost felt like it belonged more on Fox rather than the CW. Arrow from the get go balanced its grim n gritty with it love drama/shirtless scenes so that they can lure in its CW audience and it worked for them.

Replace the word "triangles" with whatever you would more appropriately describe the part of the flash plot that isn't Wells, Villains, Tech etc. The shoehorned and overbearing often times unrequited, more often times 'if only it could be', daily love drama that takes over a large part of the action/sci-fi story lines.
I used triangle as a short hand, for it's present is some form in all of them, even Nikita but it's just a phase of the above. Alex has her pining and developing thing with the seal, Niki has her thing, then Owen shows up and Shane West has his reactions...
That show was better than others as keeping it adjacent but then you have Flash and Arrow(good shows) but triangles are a larger element of the love 'dovey' stuff.

And yes just about all movies and shows have some romantic angle(save for straight forward war movies), it's kinda hollywoods thing. I mean even BreakingBad has it, the Wire finds a way to weave it in there. I'm sure even DareDevil has it, but there is one way to handle it and there's the CW way. A way in which it's an equal element being sold to the audience they know they have, more often than not.

As for NBC and the rest of them, sure they all have it too, but I'm talking about the CW network. Never said it was exclusive in doing so when it came to network tv, just said you would be hard pressed to find something they've green lit, whether it be action, sci fi or drama that doesn't pander/cater to their demos in this way.

Looks like Ollie will wear his GA duds again after episode 19 after all, not sure who the blonde or the girl in the brown jacket are.

Except it still might not be for awhile, this may very well be the pilot that is being shot which unless there is another leak we won't see until 2016. So Ollie could still not wear his suit again this season but by the time the spinoff starts he will be wearing it.

The blonde is Caity Lotz. The girl in the brown jacket is Hawkgirl

A jab a the various posters claiming they are done with arrow, particularly this season, particularly now that they supposedly have something better for the duration of the series.
Again, a jab, I doubt anyone is going anywhere. But if they really want to, I say have fun missing out.

I'm sticking with it, but I have found my enthusiasm is severely dampened. It has been a very dissapointing season so far, and even the good ideas have been weighed down by how dumb some of the bad ones were. I just hope the show can find its way again. Right now, out of all the other superhero shows out there, I'd only put it above Gotham (Gotham I stopped bothering with about 4 episodes back.) And that really bums me out, because Ive really enjoyed moments of this series. And I'm not saying I expect it to suddenly jump to Daredevil quality, but I would just like to see it at least try to match the quality it had in S2.

Heck, I accept that a magic fairy brought her back to life, if it means getting the real Canary back.

May be? The Sara detractors were up in arms the second Caity was announced for the show and some of the Laurel fanatics are just waiting to see exactly what the deal is before they go nuts.

Honestly, unless the season finale impresses me, I don't think I will be watching season 4. It's sad because season 1 was really good and parts of season 2 are great and I really like Amell. But unfortunately with this season they jumped the shark too much, the characters became irritating and inconsistent, the writing feels sloppy and rushed and even the action hasn't fun to watch anymore for me.

This isn't about one company versus another. For a while it's felt like I'm watching Arrow only because there is no better alternative, but with Daredevil giving me everything I used to enjoy about Arrow and more I don't see a reason to come back to it.
