Barry saw himself. Looks like we get some time travel.
So he's an Egyptian priest. But I suspect he's still a cromagnon, he just hasn't told anyone.
Baby mama drama, boy.
I LOVE that theyre not wasting time with the Oliver/kid thing. Its about time. I also love how maturely Oliver is handling this.
That was a good scene imo. The writers have done a pretty good job this year in not stretching a lot of subplots over multiple episodes. Oliver's growth this season has been refreshing.
Was he with Laurel when he knocked up his baby mama? This must have been a year before he went missing.
At least there's a non-"Ollie is an A-Hole" excuse for keeping a secret.
Time travel will likely undo this scene.
I hope Barry doesn't run back in time and erase all the progress Oliver made with this kid storyline.
Yep, he was with Laurel at the time the child was conceived.
So, to summarize it all up...
Oliver is currently going out with Felicity, while still "married" to Nyssa Al Ghul, with both "spouses" having been lovers to Sara, who is also the younger sister of Laurel... the First Major Love of Oliver's life, that he had cheated on with another woman who is currently the mother of his son in Central City.
Oh nooooooo. Theyre gonna undo Oliver finding out about his kid. I will be PISSED if they undo this.
Quick, while we have the chance. What would you do differently?
I mean, aside from not either a) not telling Felicity about the kid, b) telling Ollie to tell Felicity, or c) telling Ollie they didn't match?
What would you do about Vandal Savage?
I didn't even think about that. He'll still find out, I bet.
Ehrmegherd... My 15 yr old daughter and I just picked our jaws up off the floor.
At least Oliver still knows about his kid. His best bet is to not confront the baby mama and tell Felicity. He should just keep this to himself.
This is boring thus far. Everyone who isn't Hawks/Olicity/Barry/Cisco are just there to fill the screen.
People on Twitter are cracking me up.
I swear these writers really don't know how to use the Canary Cry.
Yeah, how useless was it in that scene?
She looks so hot.in this scene.
Cisco, you lucky man.
Very good crossover event as a whole
I am...conflicted with this episode. I was LOVING the first half. The quiet character moments and interactions, the Egyptian background/mythology with Hawkman/Hawkgirl and Savage, Ollie finding out about his kid. I was just very invested in it all. Then, ironically, once all the "superhero" stuff started happening and Barry traveled back in time, the episode took a nosedive for me. Granted, I'm glad it didn't end up changing much in the end, but it reminded me how much time travel can just completely ruin the tension and momentum in a story. Like when Barry did it for the first time last season, it had been a freaking fantastic episode (episode 15 I think) through and through until at the very end when it was all undone.
I dunno, that's just my opinion and I get that time travel is a staple in the Flash's mythology but I could do with less of it, please, if it kills story momentum.
All in all...I think last year's crossover was better but this was still an entertaining two parter. I think rewatching them again back to back this time I'll enjoy it a lot more.
