S5 EPISODE 3 - A Matter Of Trust

WRESTLING STAR CODY RHODES BRINGS THE SMACK DOWN TO STAR CITY - Now that Oliver (Stephen Amell) has his new team, they are ready to hit the streets but Oliver doesn't feel they are ready. Headstrong Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) defies the Green Arrow's orders and sets out on his own after a new drug dealer, Derek Sampson (guest star Cody Rhodes), who is terrorizing Star City. Sampson proves more powerful than Wild Dog and it is up to the Green Arrow to go head to head with Sampson to save his teammate. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#503). Original airdate 10/19/2016.

Is Oliver planning on revealing his identity to Rag Man? Why wasn't he there with the others at the end of the previous episode when he revealed his identity?

I hope Rag Man keeps that name.

I think the difference is, Ragman is an ally, not a trainee. I mean, he clearly is capable of doing to job as is, albeit due to magical powers more than skill.

:wow: [blackout]Deadshot![/blackout]

The new DA reminds me of Christian Bale.

I LOVED how Oliver ended that fight with Sampson!

am i the only one who cant stand mr terrific he is incredibly grating and cheesy and extremely nerdy and not in a god way he is very annoying

They should have put that Billy Joel song of the same name as the episode title as a soundtrack.

Nice to see Deadshot back. Probably as a result of Flashpoint.

Cody Rhodes did well in this episode.

I'm glad Felicity came clean about Havenrock with Ragman. And not dragging it out as a big secret longer than it needed to be.

He's what Felicity was in the first two seasons ....

That would have been a largely hypocritical moment had she held on to it.

3 for 3 this season. Off to a great start and I'm very happy about it! Arrow is crushing it right now for me. It's back to season 1/2 form and I hope it continues. And the flashbacks are great again.

Loved the comment about what kind of vigilante wearing a hockey mask and Oliver saying he thinks it's cool, little nod/Easter egg to him playing Casey Jones recently.

Totally. Great season so far. Not expecting it to be better than 1 or 2 , but it's just as good. Interesting to see how they handle such a huge team though. At some point diggle will return, maybe not Thea just yet but eventually.

Any one other worried that
Deadshot
only part of his consciousness and he is talking to himself

I wish superhero movies and TV wouldn't regard "Can't feel pain" as a superpower, since it's a horrifying medical condition.

I think it was obvious that it was. Not at first since most of us thought Flashpoint got him back, but right after he spoke to Lyla, it was clear.

Yes, Diggle's imagination and guilty conscious running rampant.

Also really liked how Oliver took out Sampson. Without feeling pain, Samson was unaware of the damage being done - which is the very reason why pain exists...

And I don't think all those guys were thinking Sampson's plan through to its other end. If he can't feel anything, then he can't feel pleasure either...

That's not worth any price.:loco:

Oh stop. It's a tv show about comic book characters. Don't take things so seriously or offensively.

As for Thea, I much rather her in the red hood. But if she never does that again, then I think they should train Evelyn for the Red Arrow.

Evelyn is going to become Artemis, although I'm not expecting this to happen until after Laurel returns, that way they can avoid having her become Canary #3.

Hmm, then I wonder what her costume will be like. I'm not too versed in the DC supes, but just checking it looks like there have been more than a dozen Artemis across the multiverse.
