(Aug 2, 2008) -- HALL, Ruby (nee McMullan) - Peacefully, at Riverbend Place, Cambridge, on Thursday, July 31, 2008, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Wilfrid (deceased) for 53 years. Loving mother of William (Nancy) of Toronto, Bruce of Brantford, Jane (Les) Slowikowski of Cambridge, and Joan of Bethesda Home, Vineland. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Adam, Jason (Paola) and Lisa, and great-grandmother of Evan, Lily and Ty. Predeceased by her siblings, Elsie Fowler, Ellen Price, Bob and Tom, and 10 in-laws. Ruby is survived by in-laws, Muriel Hall, Roy Dear and Nancy Hall; by her cousins, Margaret, Dorothy and Neil, and by many nieces and nephews. Ruby was born in Saskatchewan and raised in Queenston and St. Catharines. Ruby cared diligently for her growing family in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Toronto and Brantford as Wilfrid progressed in life insurance management, and they spent their retirement in Florida and Stamford. Recently she resided in Kitchener and Cambridge. We salute the passing of a gracious and always thankful lady. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home , 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and then at Heatherington and Deans Funeral Home, 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls, on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 11 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 12 noon. Interment in Stamford Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Bethesda Foundation, 3280 Schmon Parkway, Thorold, Ont., L2V 4Y6, or the Alzheimer Society, would be appreciated by the family. My heart goes out to you. My grandmother passed away last year at age 89 due to complications from Dementia/Alzheimers. Stay strong, remember the good times you had.

Sorry to hear about your grandma. My grandmother is dieing of Cancer right now. I saw her Sunday and it broke my heart. She isn't going to be able to fight it for to much longer.

be thankful you had a great grandma... i had 2 up until around 5th grade or so... then lost them both. My kids prob wont have any at all (unless my husband has grandparents) cuz all but my grandpa is left in terms of grandparents
