These are great, Kal. Even though I think Brandon Routh looks more like Superboy than Superman.

Thanks Bill 9000!!! :D

I really think this should be the official poster.

Man that would be sweet. Then I could at least say I contributed in some way to the Superman franchise. Supes is my favorite. And to get paid for this pic would hurt either. LOL

Yeah about the "Brandon looks more Superboy than superman" thing

I would have cast someone older like Jim Calviezel but I'll reserve Judgement on Routh until the end credits roll on the Singer film

And Hello KAL-EL!!!!

Nice to see you here and being welcomed

Like you made me feel welcome over at the other Forum:)

Great Work as always man

Who could have problems with your work?

No one thats who

You Rock and glad to count you as a friend:)

Love to see you do more Marvel stuff

Some other cool Returns teasers, which many have taken as the official teasers, are over at Comics2Film gallery, search darthpakbao.

Aye ODSOB - but I said "Like Jim Calviezel" not meant not Jim himself

I'm sure the New Kid will do fine but Reeve was older when he played him in the Original 70s flick

But yeah Welling would have rocked

Actually he was 26 when he first played Superman in 1978, while Routh is 25 while playing Superman in 2005.

Trust me, the SDCC footage was AWESOME....it was Superman.

I will happily say darthbakpao is awesome!! His recent Superman is friggin sweet. That guy has skills in pencils, inks, and colors.

I bring you Olympian. I made this character up. His blood line goes all the way back to Hercules. The Greek God gene layed dormant for centuries. Until Gavin was born. His genes are filled with the Greek Gods genes. His powers so far are of flight, lightning control (zeus), and strength (hercules). He will soon develop more powers that the gods once weilded.

Well if You like Kal-El's Olympian so much SOB

You'll be pleased to know I'm making the 12" Model and action Figure of Olympian for my good friend Kal

Its where my real artistic skills lie

He helped me out designing a character of mine - Deadeye Samurai
This is me returning the favour
You gotta show them Deadeye Samurai Kal!!!:D

You never told me how things went with Samurai Comics?

PM me please

And as for Reeves being 26 and Routh being 25 when they first played supes- Reeves looked more manly you gotta admit

BTW - What does SDCC mean, SOB?

The Olympian looks fabulous, Kal. And I'm not just saying that because I'm of Greek descent.

And I agree with DeDIKnight about the casting of Superman ... chronological age has nothing to do with it. It's all about how one carries the "look" and "feel" of Superman (sorry ... don't know how else to phrase it). And I'm afraid that, in my opinion ... as of right now ... Brandon Routh doesn't have it. Maybe that might change when the movie is finally released.

Let me put it this way ... would people accept an actor playing Batman who looked like he should be playing Robin?

I haven't been there is awhile. They are about 15 miles away through the city. Time seems so limited. I may email it to them. The owners name is Mike. He's very cool, he always helps me out with comics or action figures. I keep you updated as soon as anything happens.

I felt the same way until I saw the SDCC footage. Everything about the movie looks fantastic. The sets are great, the locations are great, Superman's costume is great and Superman himself looks like he should, not to mention Routh's Clark Kent is uncanny in it's resemblence to the late Chris Reeve's. Routh does look young, but not as young as most people thing. Superman is supposed to have the boyish good looks, and Routh conveys that in a perfect way. He's commanding, yet humble....just like Superman should be.

Trust me, this movie is in good hands with Bryan Singer and Co. I also firmly believe that Routh will far surpass everyone's expectations.

SDCC = San Diego Comic Con

I was at the presentation for Bryan Singer's Superman Returns footage.

Don't get me wrong, Chris Reeve always has and will always be Superman, but that's not to say that someone else can't carry on his legacy in a new movie. In the footage Routh looked every bit the part, his posture, hair, mannerisms, even his eyes (those baby blues) were spot on.

I am the biggest Superman fan I know, and I have been very skeptical about this movie since it was first announced. I have voiced my opinion about the casting, director, suit...etc, but all of my skepticism was put to rest when I saw that footage. Not once during the footage did I think "this is some guy playing Superman", instead I thought "this is Superman".

Christopher Reeve IS Superman, but Brandon Routh does a good job portraying him.

I can't post a link because it's not online, you had to be there.
