What are you guys talking about?? He runs wayne enterprises for a long time while bruce is in cape in cowl. He does'nt have to be in the future films.

But I see your point . . . if he's gonna be in it, he needs some kind of story arc . . . . there was an ep of TAS where Lucius was blackmailed by a judge; maybe we could incorporate that into the story, cuz he basically knows who Batman is . . . .

But since he's now running Wayne Enterprises, we do need a succeeder . . . and in order to protect Batman's alter ego, it might have to be Wayne himself

There's simply no need to have fox killed off. its unnecessary, but not surprising since batfans hear are apparently bloodthirsty for joker to kill off somebody. There are ways of making Batman a genius without killing off fox

That's what half the threads on this board is, speculation. For instance, who the Joker will be, or the fate of Rachel Dawes. Freeman spoke about himself returning to the role, and that it was up to Nolan and the writers on what they wanted to do with the character. So again, we don't know what will happen with him. He may live, he may die, or even end up in a hospital.

You simply don't call someone's ideas "stupid" just because you don't like it. All you have to do is ignore it, also, 'here' isn't spelled 'hear'.

It's going to keep happening for the next few months, until Nolan is done with The Prestige.

and if Nolan decides to kill him off in the film, depending on how it happens, it could be a good or bad idea there. But killing him off simply so bruce can build gadgets is a shallow reason to kill off a supporting character, much like killing off cyclops in X3 so Wolverine can lead the team.

I didn't say it because I think it's cool, I said it because I think it will help advance the plot and develop the main character.

Batman dosent need lucius dead to build his own gadgets. And i dont see how killing off fox advances the story. As weak as killing off rachel is, it makes some sense, since she and bruce are so close.

Like how you try to justify that Cyclops should've been the one in Wolverine's place. Or how you call other people's opinion "pathetic" because it doesn't suit your own.

I don't think he HAS to die. I could see it happening, but I don't think it has to happen.

I kinda like Bats not being a super genious and he has someone to make his gadgets. (fits with Nolan's realism too) And it answers the age old question, "where does he get those wonderful toys?"

And as for Cyclops and Wolverine, there really is no need to justify it, as in every version of the x-men Cyclops has been de facto leader. Even people who dont like cyclops agree and know that. Just like lucius, who's never been killed in the comics, especially not because they need to make batman look smarter. if they can do that in the comics, why not in the movies? Should lucius be under some threat? Hell yes. But killing him off isnt necessarily the answer. that thinking led to cyke getting killed off in X3 when he didnt need to be.

Having Batman including Fox in his crusade, as he obvioucly is doing, even though not overtly telling him, and having him get killed because of it, would have a similar effect to rachel dying.

Also, as I said, I think it would provide a good path for Bruce to grow into the super-genius shoes that he wears in the comics.

Ah, I see now. I still dont think he needs to be killed, but that actually is a good idea. And more surprising since everyone wants rachel to die because they hate katie holmes....

Why does Lucius need to die? Why does Bruce have to make everything himself? In the comics, he hasn't made many gadgets for himself in a loong time. Before he was killed in Hush, Harold built all of his gear for him. Since then, Toyman II has been his tech guy.
