If I have a master's degree, got laid off from my non-descript office job at the beginning of November, and have enough money to pay rent until the end of February (March if I really tighten my belt), should I accept a part-time gig as a dishwasher or devote all my time to looking for a real job?

I probably would look for the job I really wanted but I think you have to do what you think is best for you.
