Comics ASM to ship THREE times a month!

And with Wacker on board im sure it'll be a success. I think this news is great and it means thats spideys continuity will now be streamlined as will be the stories!

Oh yeah! Duffman!

Three times a month!? It's like Spidey's almost gone weekly!

Yea it's great depending who the writers and artists are. Also Friendly neighborhood and sensational are getting canceled.Which kinda sucks since they were the only spidey titles I was reading.

I can understand Friendly getting cancelled, because it's been 90% crap. But Sensational was awesome. Sacassa did a terrific job on that book.

Marvel just don't know when they have a good thing.

I first jumped on FN with the Hobgoblin.I wasn't impressed. But then The Mysterio
and Vulture arcs really won me over.

Amen to that! Loved Sensational, but I have to wait less time to get a new ish of ASM, I'm all for it!

I think the three times a month thing sucks because it's just greed, not story-potential.

Not sure how I feel about this. I could see a very huge quality decrease with the book rushing out so fast. I don't know...I mean as a fan of coarse you want your title to come out as soon as possible but that just feels a bit....bland. I don't know if it can feel as epic coming out three times a month.

Also cancelling Sensational is stupid...the title has been great from start to finish.

I come back to these boards after a minor break to hear that Sensational's getting cancelled in favor for more ASM. Weak.

So yes, "Amazing. Amazing. Amazing." was my big clue to the 3-times per month shipping.

Here’s a clue to my next big project: Heart attack. Heart attack. Heart attack.

And apparently either three of Spidey's friend suffer heart attacks in the near future or Aunt May experiences 3 heart failures at the same time.

Firstly, after a few initial mediocre issues, FNSM has become as good, if not better than SSM.

Secondly, no title was ever canceled due to being bad. It's always about sales.

That's your opinion, not mine.

Didn't you get the memo??

And from what I've seen, the sales figures for these titles are not bad at all. Spider-Girl's had worse, but they brought it back because of fan demand.

I like the idea for a few reasons
It streamlines the continuity and also it make one spidey book. to be honest with you I much prefer the idea of one spidey book over three, as it makes everything easily accesable in one place.

At first I was freaked, But I can get through this. It's sad, I was supposed to quit spidey, but I really can't. I need my Peter Parker. On a sidenote, I hope that the covers look like the one more day FNSM and Amazing covers when this happens. Also, does this mean Amazing will be one monthly with the numbers staying in the 500's?? Sweet!

Im going to have to get back into 616, i've been reading some of these back in black issues and they're pretty good from what i've seen.

The covers look awesome and they're changing the font to ASM back to the old font!

The only problem might be oversaturation of the ASM series which is always something to think about. I know I'm definitely on board, since I'm always on board with Spidey books good or bad, just because I love the character but I have a feeling that this could potentially make for a new style of telling stories that harken back to the "classic" feel of stories that don't span out months and sometimes more than a year at a time.

If you can state your opinion as fact, you should be able to take it when others state theirs likewise.

I think it's simply because, as Wacker said, they realize more people will probably buy all three books if "Amazing" is in the title.

But, again, it has nothing to do with the quality of any of the titles.

Personally, I don't agree with this decision at all. This is just a cheap way to make sure everyone buys 3 Spidey titles a month. Some people may only buy FNSM, or Aamzing, or both and not SSM. Now however, it seems like they will be forced to buy all or nothing. Then you have your completist, who feel compelled to buy every issue of Amazing and that just pushes up their comics buying budget.

To me, their should only be two Spidey titles and that's it.

I may check this out, but the creative teams would have to un-freakin-believable. And of course, the stories not being monkey piss would be great an all.

Yay! I love this idea.

No more continuty puzzles just a near constant live feed into Peter Parker's life and adventures.

Agreed....

I felt that it should have been ASM and SSM that stuck around. Never got into FNSM even though I really had high hopes for it when it was first revealed. They're going on and on about reasons for doing it when the only reason is to make sure that fans by three books a month.
