I love Assassin´s Creed, but i still have to get Brotherhood.
The first image of Assassin´s Creed III just surfaced.
It will be set during the French Revolution, which i was expecting since the rumors when the AC2 was in the making.

Here is the new hero...

I believe thats a fake.

Also there was already a thread for the next game, altho it was labeled AC IV instead of AC III. The threads can prob be merged.

Really....damn :(
I hope it´s not, the French Revolution is a great setting for an Assassin´s Creed game with the poor vs the rich and the people vs the monarchy.
It was a time of a big political turmoil, it could easily be the best of of the series...so far, the most serious.
Besides, there were swords, and you can´t have an AC game without swords

altho it was labeled AC IV instead of AC III
It should, as Brotherhood is an Assassin´s Creed II part 2[/B], not a proper sequel.
The enxt one is going to be called AC III

Yea i agree, id like that setting as well.

Yea i just labeled that since its the 4th full game.

...got my hopes up for nothing. :cmad:

Though I think the French Revolution would be a great setting.

The president of Ubi recently stated the next game was gonna be revealed in May, so, not much longer of a wait.

^^^ In that case, May needs to hurry up

I'm not really in a rush. I still haven't played Brotherhood. I have it, collecting dust on my shelf, I just haven't had the urge play it.

I'm glad it's fake, I am very not keen on that character design.

I feel pretty much the same way, I just think I might be burnt out on the setting and story of that era.

I say bring on the French revolution!

Fingers crossed for a modern day setting. Desmond has been established for three games, now it's time for him to have a turn.

Just finished Brotherhood, glad I played it. I thought it was going to be a quick cash in, but it was interesting having a team of assassins to call on whenever you couldn't be bothered by a guard. I just wished they implemented that more into the story and game play.

Good thing it's fake

And PWN3R, if we had the original planned trilogy, we could have very well received a modern-day setting with Desmond as the "ultimate" assassin, but now with Ubisoft wanting to release a game yearly, who knows, we may never get the real ending that was wanted from the beginning.

Yeah, it's nonsense. Churning out an AC and CoD every year will be the death of both franchises.

Yah, speaking of CoD, we will never get the Modern Warfare 3 that would've continued MW2's story as MW3 is supposedly going to be a prequel.

I hope this is the last one, and they tie up all loose ends.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations?

Good Lord...no 'III', meaning, I HIGHLY doubt it's the end of the trilogy, which means...Ubisoft won :(

Ubisoft have already said this game is the direct, true sequel to AC 2. They said it would be announced in May. This is that game. Quit being so alarmist.

Altair again? C'mon Ubisoft! There are literaly an infinite number of things, places, people and events you could explore but we are going back to Altair?

Then again...

NOTHING IS TRUE...

Who said that?

Altho if they went back to Altair, id be first in line to buy.

I'm not saying it won't be a true sequel to AC2, lol(read what I'm saying). I'm stating that Ubisoft does not want this game to only be a trilogy, so, I don't think this game will end the series. Understand?

Seriously, did anyone at all say this game had Altair in it? Anyone?

Although, nothing is wrong with Altair, imo. I had so much more fun playing as him than Ezio.
