wow i just beat it, man this game is really trippy, and the truth is really no help in trying to figure out wtf is going on

I beat this last night. Really good. I beat it with every achievement except the 2 related to Feather collecting. I also did every side quest except for most of the assassination ones, those are next. My villa is also complete aside from the one weapon you get from the feathers.

Rome was a big tease. Seeing the colosseum in the background and not being able to run to it and climb up, was cruel.

I also had Altair's Sword knocked out of my hands right before the final boss fight, and I accidently picked up a common sword first during the struggle, which got put into my sheath and there was no way to drop it to get Altair's sword back. So I went through the final battle with a common sword.

My only real complaints are about armor. I wish you could remove it entirely, and I wish Altair's armor was white.

I have very little interest in the other colors. White was established with AC1 and I like it. I kept Ezio at the default white the whole time. The other colors just don't look right to me.

Have you tried the Wetlands Ivory? Wetlands Ebony is the best if you want to use black.

i felt that if we had 1 other color besides white, it should be black.

I never tried the other colors either, I kept Ezio in Assassin's White all the way up till I got Altair's armor.

I used all different kinds of colors. I just liked messing around with the different styles. That was one of the things i wanted them to add in this game so i took advantage of the inclusion. In fact, just about everything i wanted them to add for this game they did. The selectable weapons, the ability to disarm opponents, etc etc. I was really impressed with the advancements made in this game.

I love the kills you can do with the hidden blades, attack or counter. I've been fighting with just the double blades the entire time in my second playthrough.

Very fun game but the story went off and took a leap into loony tunes land as soon as Ezio got his hands back on the Apple. That last bit with Desmond was awesome, though not being able to kill the scientist from the first one was BS. As soon as I killed his guards I went to set up a kill shot and was dissapointed to find I couldn't.

Still all things considered I'm looking forward to the next one.

Started playing this last night and it's awesome. I didn't care for the first game at all but AC2 takes everything to a new level. Ezio is a good character, far more interesting than Altair. Think I'm gonna go play it now actually

Got this game for Christmas and love it!! Fave weapon so far is the double wrist assassin blades.

Question though - sometimes when I go to counter an attack using the wrist blades the blades just pop out and I get hit. I press square to counter though. Is this just a timing issue??

Are you holding the button that has you go into a defensive stance to counter? As long as you're holding that the entire time you should never get hit.

yeah I hold down R1 and then press square to counter? Sometimes it works but sometimes Ezio just pops out his blades and gets hit.

I think you're doing something wrong b/c whenever I use my blades in combat, they're out all the time. I don't know the PS3 controls though.

You might be countering a little early or late, sometimes it happens to me when I don't counter properly. But I usually use a sword so I wouldn't know about the blades.

Yeah I think it's just a timing thing, got the hang on it now.

Yeah its just a timing thing. That happens to me when I counter a millisecond too early.

Also has anyone picked up Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines for the psp? Now that I know that it ties into plot points in AC2 I wanna pick it up but I've found that psp games are real hit/miss. And I really don't wanna blow forty bucks on a crappy game.

Yeah I think it's just a timing thing, got the hang on it now.

You're pressing the counter button to early that's why, happened to me all the time.

I got AC2 for Xmas but never played the first one. Should I pick up AC and play it first to better understand AC2? They have AC as an X-Box 360 "Classic" at Best Buy for just $19.99.

I would play the first one before. BUT dont judge the 2nd by it. the 2nd one is lightyears better than the first.

the first isnt even bad, its just repetitive.
