Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Yea i think the signs point to Desmond taking over. Ill be really surprised if they give us yet another ancestor to take control over. I just hope the gameplay doesnt change up too much. I really enjoy stabbing people with swords.

The developers have been preparing us for the day that it's desmonds game completely. The biggest difference in gameplay I see coming is the sword won't be apart of it. The crossbow will be exchanged for a sniper rifle, horses for cars armor for bullet proof vest etc, etc. I think we will get another game in the past maybe something more personal to desmond like his father or grandfather .

The first premium DLC is coming for Brotherhood:

Ubisoft has announced a new, massive-sounding DLC pack for its well-received manhunter, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The pack, titled "The Da Vinci Disappearance," is centered around just that -- following the events of the single-player storyline, Ezio's helpful, crafty companion Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the cult of the Hermeticists, who hope to pick his brain to bend the world to their seedy will. Ezio will have to locate his stolen painting across two new areas while exercising two new, undetailed "gameplay features" in order to emancipate the renowned inventor from his captors.

The DLC also includes a metric ton of content for the title's multiplayer component, including four new characters: The Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah. The game's roster of maps will be expanded with "Alhambra," a lush quarter of a Spanish city, providing hunters and huntees with a multileveled indoor and outdoor environment to slink through. Also, two new modes will be added: Escort, where two teams of four players must assassinate the opposing team's VIP while protecting their own; and Assassinate, a straightforward, ten minute round of Deathmatch. See ya, subtlety!

The pack will be released at the "beginning of March 2011," and will run shoppers 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 and the equivalent $9.99 on PS3. Check out some screens of the new map and its violent inhabitants in the gallery below, or check out the trailer after the jump for a preview of the new single-player missions!

Depends on how big a fan you are. The single player is short but fun and well made, some great additions to Leonardo's character, for anyone who knows his history. Also, one hell of a big freaking clue at the end of it regarding AC 3. I know what it is, and the potential location but I won't spoil it so people can play that themselves.

As for is it worth it, theres some decent multiplayer stuff as well, 4 new characters, 1 new map, 2 new game modes (both of which are really fun) and also it unlocks the Captain character and the limited edition Ezio armour that was initially only in the Codex Edition. So all in all, i'm pretty happy with it. The single player left me wanting more, but that's to be expected since i'm such an AC fan, i'll always want more.

The new armour/outfit is cool. I've only started the DLC but enjoying it so far.

Would you mind PMing me the info? I'm not connected to Xbox live so I really have no way of getting it.

Is there anywhere in the story I need to be specifically? I'm currently on sequence 4...maybe 5, and haven't beaten Brotherhood yet. Or does the story kinda fit in anywhere or even launch when it's supposed to?

I believe there are two alternate version, one for if you've finished and one for if you haven't, that just effects how it gets introduced and different story elements get mentioned. Although the next AC clue at the end seemed dependent on having finished the game for me. I couldn't say how that works without you having beaten the main story.

Is there any news of possibly more single player DLC in the future?

No reported news, but theres a good chance there will be more.

Question: Is the armor in the DLC like the Armor of Romulus/Brutus in that you have to wear all of it? I haven't bought a chest guard because it covers up too much of Ezio's outfit and I don't want to be forced to wear one.

yea its a whole thing...but its pretty cool looking

it's less busy than the armor of Brutus

Did any one have any problems playing the DLC? It had stop to load nearly every 15 - 30 seconds. Insane.

Out of curiosity, have any of you guys been watching The Borgias on Showtime? It's pretty good. Anyone who loved Brotherhood would probably dig it. Obviously it's based on the history, but it's still kinda cool when someone you recognise from the game shows up, like Micholetto. He's totally bad arse in this show lol

Yeah, me too. I feel so corrupted by fictionalised history. I've been wanting an AC movie for so long, but this show has made me think a TV series would be so much better.

It would never be adapted properly though :(

The games are good enough for me.

I still need to finish AC:B. I'm just about to finish it but the Tron-esque platforms are pissing me off and I keep falling off them.

Does anyone know if Aniums 3.0 is out? I haven't played online for a while and went to and I couldn't get into my friends group as they had 3.0 and now I can't find it anyway? its not in extras, downloadable content?

Anyone else having trouble getting 3.0 ?

I'm pretty sure it's only included with The Da Vinci Dissapearence DLC.

I'm so close to getting 100% sync on the retail game, i am about 75% done. Missions where you can't get detected for full syncronization are the most fun.
