Yeah but the past is what everyone likes. Even if it is just a plot device it's the draw to this whole universe
Hell I think you couldve made a movie with just the past stuff and it couldve been a success. Not saying that's where they should go I'm just saying. Again, like The Matrix, what is the draw of The Matrix? It's going into the Matrix and seeing all the crazy stuff in there
Yeah, but even in The Matrix. You spend a lot of time in the real world. It's very well balanced in the first movie. It's too much of the crazy stuff in the sequels (overly long slow-mo/wire-fu/bullet time fight scenes).
I think you're reading too much into that 65/35% statement, thinking that we'll just get glimpses at the past stuff.
The only thing I'm a little wary about is keeping the past scenes in Spanish. I'm not a fan of subtitles, so we'll see how that will work out. John McTiernan handled the foreign language amazingly with a very simple, yet genius device in Hunt for Red October.
We'll see. People need to have more trust in talent. Justin Kurzel is a talented filmmaker, let's not forget that.
